O. BEATTY THURSDAY J. O. Beatty, 74, died at his home on Tolar Street Thursday evening at 6 o'clock following a stroke of paralysis. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 this afternoon from the Community Church in North Vernon with Rev. Morgan, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in East View Cemetery. The Underwood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Beatty had been a resident of Vernon for the past two years, coming here from Comanche, Oklahoma. Surviving are four sons and two daughters, Willie Beatty of Comanche, Oklahoma, G. P. Beatty of Vernon, Barney Beatty of Comanche, Oklahoma, Edgar Beatty of Vernon, Mrs Hattie Daniels of Vernon and Mrs. Edna Mae Strawn of Hobart, Oklahoma.
