TES WEDNESDAY FOR SAM F. REED Last rites for Sam F. Reed, 82, of 2529 Maiden Street will be read in the East Side Baptist Church at 10:30 Wednesday by Rev. Doyal Hawkins, Pastor. Mr. Reed died in a local hospital after an illness lasting one week. Interment will be in Eastview Memorial Park under direction of Henderson Funeral Home. Mr. Reed, a retired farmer, was born in Brown County May 11, 1874. He married Miss May Smith in 1903 in Ada, Oklahoma. She died on September 21, 1946. A Spanish-American War veteran he was a member of the East Side Baptist Church. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Minnie Rutledge, Mrs. Tom Robinson, Mrs. Cecil Eppler, Mrs. L. L. Babbitt, all of Vernon and Mrs. Lois Brannan of Idaho; one son, Lloyd Reed of Vernon; two sisters, Mrs George Schenecher of Culver City, California and Mrs. M. Scott of Arizona; 22 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
