Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul-Lutheran Church in Denton with the Rev. Russ Tieken officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are under direction of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home. Lindsay was born Aug, 22, 1938, in Wilbarger County, a daughter of the late Calvin and Grace Brewster Wages. She graduated from Vernon High School and married Jimmy Lindsay on Jan. 11, 1958, in Vernon. She was a day care teacher for Happy Days and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Karla Burchfield of San Antonio and Kim Tatum of Pampa; two sons, Jimmy Lindsay of Pampa and Kevin Lindsay of Denton; four sisters, Jean Riley of Denton, Gay Bingham and Gloria Riggins, both of Vernon, and Vickie Shivers of Lubbock; two brothers, Don Wages of Denton and Warren Wages of Vernon; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jason Cihak, Brandon Riggins, Bryan Shivers and Patrick Riley. John Haskell Daniel Former Vernon resident John Haskell Daniel, 83, died Friday, Dec. 1, 2000, in a Wichita Falls nursing center after a lengthy illness. Graveside funeral services will be at noon Monday at Wilbarger Memorial Park with the Rev. Ron Fox, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under direction of Sullivan Funeral Home. Daniel was born Feb. 13, 1917, in Seymour, a son of the late Alva Lee and Hattie May Beatty Daniel. He married Naomi Frances (Dollye) Standlee, who preceded him in death on Oct. 5, 1999. A retired farmer, he was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Happy Hearts Club at the church. Surviving are two daughters, Judy White and Vickie Karr, both of Wichita Falls; a brother, Carl Daniel of Wichita Falls; a sister, Frances Pettit of Vernon; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Laymon Smith Jr. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Wood Street Baptist Church for former Vernon resident Laymon Smith Jr., 55, who died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2000, in his Wichita Falls residence after a lengthy illness. The Rev. Floyd Chenault, pastor, and the Rev. R.M. Castle, pastor of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Wichita Falls, will officiate. Interment will be in Eastview Cemetery under direction of Sullivan Funeral Home. Smith was born Jan. 7, 1945, in Vernon, a son of the late Laymon Smith Sr. and Jessie Mae Grimmett Smith. He was a 1963 graduate of Booker T. Washington High School in Vernon and attended Wylie College in Marshall and Prairie View MM University at Hempstead. He was a foreman at Pittsburgh Plate Glass in Wichita Falls and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Surviving are four sons, Wendell Smith of Vernon, Laymen Smith III and Timothy Smith, both of Wichita Falls, and Sean Smith of San Antonio; three daughters, Zaundria Mechelle Smith and Sherry Smith of Dallas, and Sharmilla Smith of Wichita Falls; a sister, Geri Wiley of Fort Worth; and seven grandchildren., CIeo Brown Shaw Graveside funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Eastview Cemetery for Cleo Brown Shaw, 88, who died Wednesday, Nov. 29,2000, in a Burleson, Texas, hospital. Shaw was born July 16, 1912, in Honey Grove, Texas, a daughter of the late Ora Thomas and Mary Ada Farley Brown. She married Erwin Eugene Shaw on Dec. 24, 1938, in Floydada. A Wilbarger County resident for most of her life, she was a retired supervisor at Vernon Manufacturing Company. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Bethany Sunday School Class. Surviving are two daughters, Sandra Shaw Hobby and Beverly Shaw Pratt, both of Cleburne; a sister, Mabel Justice of Vernon; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Reeves Jerry K Reeves, 56, died Thursday, Nov. 30,2000, in a Wichita Falls hospital after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Second Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Gilliland, pastor, and the Rev. Gary Chapman, pastor of Rock Crossing Baptist Church, officiating. Interment with Masonic graveside rites will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Vashti Cemetery in Vashti, Texas. Arrangements are under direction of Sullivan Funeral Home. Reeves was born Sept. 23,1944, in Bowie,, a son of Myron an4 Virginia Belle Specht Reeves. He moved to Vernon from Vashti in 1957 and married Flo McElfresh on Nov. 9, 1968. A graduate of Lockett High School, he attended Vernon Regional Junior Collage and was the retired owner of Reeves Lock and Key of Vernon. He served In the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict and was a life member of the VFW and a past worshipful master of Masonic Lodge No. 655 of Vernon. He enjoyed cooking brisket, fishing and hunting. Surviving are his wife, three sons, Patrick K Reeves of Dallas, James Myron Reeves and Timothy Harold Reeves, both of Vernon; his mother, and five grandchildren. His father preceded him in death in 1971. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Dillard Jr., 87, of Dallas, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2000, in Dallas. He was the father of Diane More of Vernon. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Highland Park United Methodist Church in Dallas with the Rev. Larry Ravert officiating. Graveside services will be at Sparkman-Hillcrest, 7405 West Northwest Highway in Dallas. Dillard was born Sept. 30, 1913, in Corsicana and was reared in Wichita Falls, where he attended Wichita Falls High School and junior college. He received a bachelors degree and law degree from Southern Methodist University and his LLM from Harvard University. He practiced with the law firm of law firm of Saner, Saner and Jack until 1941, when he became Assistant City attorney in Dallas. He began a 33-year career with Southland Life Insurance in 1945, serving as director, vice president, general counsel, secretary and executive vice president. He was a member and officer of the Dallas, Texas and American Bar Associations and was named a Distinguished Alumnus by SMU Law School and Southern Methodist University. He was also a member and officer of a number of professional insurance organizations. Dillard was elected to three terms as a trustee of the Dallas Independent School District and served as president of the board in 1961-62. He was also chairman of the Region 10 Education Service Center board and held leadership positions with the Dallas Council of Camp Fire, Boy Scouts of America and Childrens Medical Center Foundation. He was also chairman of the board of Methodist Medical Center from 1986 to 11992 A member of Dallas Lodge 760, he served as Grand Master of Masons in Texas in 1961 and received his 50-year Masonic Service Award in 1998. He was a 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and in 1995 became the eighth Texan to receive the Grand Cross, the highest honor conferred by the Supreme Council of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Southern Jurisdiction. He was president of the board of directors, of the Masonic Home and School in Fort Worth and vice chairman of the board of trustees of Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. He was a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church, where he taught an adult Sunday school class for more than 40 years. Also surviving are his wife of 63 years, Dundee Sheeks Dillard; a son, Robert L. Dillard III; another daughter, Deborah Cullen; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Audie Blackburn CROWELL (Spi.) - Audie Blackburn, .96, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, in a Vernon nursing home. Graveside funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Clark Cemetery in Parker County, Texas. Womack-Manard Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Blackburn was born July 18, 1904, in Carter, Texas. She married Jack Blackburn in Hamilton, and he preceded her in death in 1961. A long-time resident of Parker County, she moved to Crowell in the late 1970s and was a former worker in the Senior Texas Employment Program. She was a past sweetheart of the Crowell Lions Club and served as pianist, organist and vocalist for church groups. She was a Baptist and a member of the Crowell Senior Citizens. Surviving are three daughters, Billie Jean Chillcut of Springtown, Jackie Herring of Bertrum and Linda Vick of Fort Worth; a son, Floyd Blackburn of Dumas; a sister, Mamie Harrison of Dunedin, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. A son, Richard Blackburn also preceded her in death, on June 25, 1999. James Long CROWELL (Spl.) James Everett Long, 80, a long-time resident of Hardeman and Foard counties, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2000, at his Hardeman County residence. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the First Baptist Church of Crowell with the Rev. Richard White of Lubbock officiating. Interment will be in Crowell Cemetery under direction of Womack-Manard Funeral Home. Long was born Dec. 1, 1920, in Crowell, and married Claudene Gracy on July 19, 1946, in Vernon. He was a farmer and rancher in Foard and Hardeman counties. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he served with the 535th Antiaircraft Battalion in Europe in 1962 he organized a reunion association for the battalion and served as its treasurer for 30 years. He was a lifetime member of the Quanah VFW, Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association and Hardeman County Farm Bureau. Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Christy Long Kirk of Fort Worth, Connie Long Harris of Temple and Camilla Long Taylor of Electra; and three grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Crowell. Lida Bernice Smith Lida Bernice Smith, 95, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2000, in a Vernon nursing home after a lengthy illness. Graveside funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Chillicothe Cemetery with the Rev. Wallace Clay officiating. Interment will be under direction of Sullivan Funeral Home of Vernon. Smith was born Jan. 16, 1905, at Bowie, a daughter of the late Henry Lee and Mary Idonia Smith. She worked as a nurse at Chillicothe Hospital until her retirement. She was a member of the First Assembly of God. Six brothers, Roy Smith, Preston Smith, Earl Smith, Paul Smith, Joseph Smith and Floyd Smith, and two sisters, Mary Lee White and Ruth McClendon preceded her in death. Alicia Alvarado Funeral services were held Tuesday at New Life Baptist Church for Alicia Alvarado, 63., who died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, in a Wichita Falls hospital after a lengthy illness. Interment was in Thalia Cemetery under direction of Sullivan Funeral Home. Alvarado was born March 17, 1937, in Wilbarger County, a daughter of the late Rafael and Maria Munoz Kuba. She married Asencion Alvarado on April 10, 1974, in Vernon. A resident of Wilbarger and Wichita counties most of her life, she was a homemaker and a member of New Life Baptist Church, where she served as president of the Womens Missionary Union, was a Sunday school teacher and a leader of Girls in Action and was involved in Language Missions. She was a volunteer for United Samaritan Services of Vernon and was secretary for the Federation of Church Women. She was also a missionary for the Southern Baptist Convention. Surviving are her husband; two sons, Saul Rivers and Johnny Rivers, both of Dallas; three daughters, Reyna Hernandez of Odell, Asmer Bea Rivers of Vernon and Rita Kuba Rivers of Wichita Falls; five step-daughters, Maria Elena Alvarado, Carmen Wallace, Ofamia Perez, Emily Siems and Margie Alvarado, all of Round Rock; a brother, Isaac Kuba of Dallas; three sisters, Mary Brown and Margaret Chavarria, both of Vernon, and Beatrice Rosas of Fort Worth; 23 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to New I Life Baptist Church. Elmer G. Studdard Former Vernon resident Elmer G. Studdard, 72, of Seymour, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, in Wichita Falls. Graveside funeral services were held Wednesday in IOOF Cemetery with Bud Branson officiating. Arrangements were under direction of Seymour Memorial Funeral Home. Studdard was born Aug. 25, 1928, in Wichita Falls. He married Wilma Jean Robbins on March 19, 1950, in Vernon, and they lived in Vernon for 12 years, where Wright's Packing Company employed him. He returned to Wichita Falls in 1969 and was a supervisor at Ebner Brothers until his retirement in 1983. A Seymour resident since 1998, he was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the Church of Christ. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Diane Morgan of Wichita Falls; three sons, Dennis Studdard of Seymour, Mike Studdard of Wichita Falls and Mark Studdard of Iowa Park; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Cassie Thomas Ganyer Funeral services were held Thursday in Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel for Cassie Thomas Ganyer, 77, who died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, in a Wichita Falls hospital after a lengthy illness. Interment was in Wilbarger Memorial Park. Ganyer was born March 29,1923, in Lee Ray, Texas, a daughter of the late Frank and Alma Estes Thomas. She moved with her family to Vernon in 1939 and married Maynard A. Ganyer on June 2, 1945, in Vernon. He preceded her in death on Feb. 27, 1994. A former employee of Vernon Manufacturing Company, she operated Ganyer Child Care Center for 10 years until her retirement. She attended Seventh Day Adventist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Janice Monzingo of Vernon; two brothers, B.E Thomas of Cisco and George D. Thomas of Vernon; three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Two brothers, William M. Newman Griggs, 88, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000. She was a sister-in-law of Peggy Newman of Quanah. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at N. S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors Pioneer Chapel in Amarillo. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Griggs was born at Dodson and married Albert (Jake) Griggs in 1932 in Altus, Okla. He preceded her in death in June. She was a former nurses aide at St. Anthonys Hospital in Amarillo and a former food service worker at Palo Duro High School. She and her husband also farmed in Muleshoe and in Gentry, Ark. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Also surviving are a daughter, Wanda Shepard of Amarillo; two sons, Jimmy Griggs and Arlen Griggs, both of Amarillo; two brothers, J. T. Newman of Del City, Okla., and Ancel Newman of Mathis; a sister, Lola Hackler of Childress; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mary Hennessee Blair Graveside funeral services were held Friday at Wilbarger Memorial Park for Mary Hennessee Blair, 83, who died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, at her home after a lengthy illness. Interment was under direction of Sullivan Funeral Home. Blair was born Oct. 3, 1917, in Lawton, Okla., a daughter of the late Alec Jasper and Sarah Thomas Hennessee. She married Jack Blair, who preceded her in death in 1969. A resident of Vernon since 1967, she was a beautician and also worked at North Texas State Hospital. Surviving are a daughter, Jean Huddleston Fox of Faxon, Okla.; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Rowena Stone CHILLICOTHE - Rowena Stone, 79, of Chillicothe, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2000, in a Wichita Falls hospital after a brief illness. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Wallace Clay and the Rev. Roy Canada officiating. Interment will be in Chillicothe Cemetery under direction of Manard Funeral Home. Stone was born Feb. 17, 1921, in Chillicothe, a daughter of the late Charles and Nora Finch Tidmore. She married E.A. Stone on June 17, 1939, in Clay County, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 20, 1986. A graduate of Bellevue Hospital, she was a retired dietician at Chillicothe Hospital. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Excel Sunday School Class. Surviving are a daughter, Brenda Cummins of Kiowa, Okla.; a son, Ronald Stone of Chillicothe; two sisters, Bobbie Boyd of Vernon and Charlene Pounds of Pueblo, Colo.; two brothers, John Tidmore of Chillicothe and Curtis Tidmore of Vernon; seven grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Juanita Farrar Former Vernon resident Juanita Farrar, 88, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2000, in an Amarillo nursing center after a brief illness. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Wilbarger Street Church of Christ with Joe Dale Wilson, minister of the Fargo Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will be in Fargo Cemetery under direction of Sullivan Funeral Home. Farrar was born May 3, 191Z in Wilbarger County, a daughter of the late Frank and BirdIe Wilson Ketchersid. She married Alton Buran Farrar on Nov. 27, 1932, in Altus, Okla., and he preceded her in death on Aug. 1,1986. A resident of Wilbarger and Foard counties until moving to Amarillo in 1994, she was a homemaker and a member of the Wilbarger Street Church of Christ Surviving are two daughters, Edith Morton and Nadene Rowell, both of Amarillo; three sons, Travis Farrar of Vernon, Weldon Farrar of Taylor and Terry Farrar of Canadian; a sister, Virginia King of Vernon; a brother, Cled B. Timmons Jr., 75, of Oklaunion, died Friday, Dec. 8, 2000, in a Wichita Falls hospital after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Davidson, Okla., with the Rev. Ronnie Chadwick, pastor, the Rev. James Moore, pastor of the First United Methodist Chu of Chillicothe, officiating. Interment will be in Eastview Cemetery in Vernon under direction of Sullivan Funeral Home. Timmons was born April 5, 1925, a son of the late John H. Timmons Sr. and Daisy T. Hunter Timmons. He marriedEllen Darlene Gentsch on July 26. 1946, at Midlothian. A graduate of Waxhachie High School, he attended Sam Houston State Uhiversity and Delmar College. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, when he served aboard the USS Tennessee in the South Pacific, and retired as a detective sergeant with the Corpus Christi Police Department. He moved to Vernon from Corpus Christi in 1971, and was the owner of Timmons Septic Tank Service and the former owner of Big Johns Hamburgers. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Davidson and Independence Masonic Lodge 1337 in Corpus Christi. Surviving are his wife; two sons, John H. Timmons III of Phoenix, Ariz., and Ed Timmons of Longview; a sister, Polly Valentine of Corpus Christi; and three grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Davidson. Ollie B. Mayberry Ollie B. Mayberry, 90, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2000, in a local hospital. Graveside funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Gilliland Cemetery with the Rev. Randy Parks officiating. Arrangements are under direction of Sullivan Funeral Home. Mayberry was born Nov. 6, 1910, in Bonham, a daughter of the late Bill and Sally May Arledge Hollis. She married Carl Mayberry on Oct. 23, 1927, in Gilliland, and he preceded her in death on March 20, 1990. An employee of Vernon Manufacturing Company for 30 years, she later helped operate the family farm and ranch. She was a former post-master at Gilliland and taught school at Red Springs. She was a member of Gilliland Baptist Church and the Home Demonstration Club. Surviving are two sons, Billy Mayberry of Vernon and Douglas May-berry of Los Lunas, N.M.; eight grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. A son, Larry Mayberry, two sisters and a brother also preceded her in death. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until noon Tuesday at the funeral home. Arrangements are under direction of Sullivan Funeral Home. Smith was born Sept. 2, 1923, in Flomot, a son of the late Elmer and Banksie King Smith. A veteran of World War II, where he served in Europe, he was a carpenter and a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Childress. Surviving are two daughters, Betty Merritt of Aurora, Cob., and Carolyn Cobb of Davis, Okla.; four sons, Donald Lewis of Vernon, Larry Smith of Davis, Okla., Jack Smith of Wichita Falls and Bill Smith of Mississippi; five sisters, Ruth Phelps and Burnie Schaar, both of Canon City, Cob., Edna Dale of Vernon, Lula Starnes of Glen Rose and Mary Cozart of Hale Center; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Lora Wallace Cargill Former Wilbarger County resident Lora Wallace Cargill, 85, died Friday Dec. 8, 2000, in a Granbury nursing home. Funeral services were held Sunday at Wiley Funeral Home. Cargill was born April 8, 1915, in Graford, a daughter of the late Madison and Bertha More Cargill. She lived for a number of years in the White City community. Surviving are a sister, Linnie Watson of Canton, Texas; a brother Leonard Cargill of Vernon; nine nieces and nephews and a number of great-nieces and great-nephews. Ocie Lee Oatts Ocie Lee Oatts, 84, died Tuesday, Dec.12, 2000, at her residence in Vernon after a lengthy illness. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Sullivan Funeral Home. Oatts was born Feb. 16, 1916, at Bryan, a daughter of the late Dan and Frankie Hines Collier. She attended schools in Bryan and Station before moving to Childress and later to Vernon. She married Earnest Oatts, who preceded her in death in 1979. She was a homemaker and a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Oklaunion Surviving are a daughter, Shirley Jean Johnson of Vernon; a son, Carrie Collier of Los Angeles; a brother, Lue James Hines of Vernon; two grandsons, three great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. A son, Willie Lee Johnson; a daughter, Frankie Celestine Thomas; and a brother, Jessie Lee Thomas, also preceded her in death. Edward Littleton Havins Edward Littleton Havins, 81, of Childress, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, in Childress. He was the father of Danny Havins of Vernon. Interment will be in Childress Cemetery under direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Havins was born Jan. 7, 1919, in Gordon, a son of the late J.M. and Lou Emma Thompson Havins. He married Marguerite Bohannon on April 17, 1946, in Childress. A retired postmaster in Childress, he served with the 36th Texas Infantry in Europe during World War II. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Hughes Bible Class and Methodist Men, and was a Mason for more than 40 years. He was also a former member of the Childress school board and the Gideons Society, and was a volunteer for the American Heart Association. Also surviving are his wife; a daughter, Carolyn Harney of Oklahoma City; three brothers, Milton Havins and Kenneth Havins, both of Childress, and Lloyd Havins of Wichita Falls; three sisters, Bernice Wright and Gladys Trosper of Childress and Sue Trosper of Kerrville; and two grandchildren. Estelle Hinkle Former Chillicothe resident Estelle Hinkle, 96, of Floydada, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, in a Floydada care center. She was a homemaker, a member of the First Baptist Church and a member of the Garden Club. She enjoyed gardening and playing bridge. Later, she worked at Wilbarger Memorial Auditorium. She attended the First Baptist Church. A retired school teacher, she had been a resident of Vernon, Abilene and Fort Worth, where she also taught school. She was a graduate of Clifton High School and received her bachelors degree from Baylor University and her masters degree from Hardin Simmons University. She taught elementary education. Lowke moved to Austin in 1995. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Vernon. Surviving are three sons: Robert A. Lowke of Mount Dora, Fla., Richard P. Lowke and Joseph D. A graduate of Vernon High School, she received a bachelor of arts degree from Abilene Christian College in 1940. She worked for the government during World War II at Camp Barkley in Abilene and Camp Adair in Corvallis, Ore. She was a stewardess with American Airlines based in New York City, where she lived for five years, and also lived in Los Angeles until 1972, when she moved to Lubbock. Anderson, 62, of Lubbock, died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2000, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. Funeral services were held Wednesday in W.W. Rix Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. John H. Ballard officiating. Anderson was born Aug. 28, 1938, in Addington, Okla. He graduated from Vernon High School in 1956 and attended Texas Tech University. He married Patsy Blevins on May 30, 1959. A registered professional land surveyor, he began working for Hugo Reed in June of 1959, and became president of Hugo Reed and Associates in 1977. He retired in June of 1999. He was a trumpet player and played in and around the Panhandle and South Plains area for 40 years. A charter member of the band, "Jazz Alley," he recorded background music for several area musicians, such as the Maines Brothers Band, Joe Ely and others, and was also contracted by Reese Alr Force Base to play "Taps" at military funerals. Anderson was a past president of the Lubbock Executive Association, Hillcrest Country Club and the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors. He served as publicity chairman for the 1984 American Congress on Surveying and Mapping National Meeting and coordinated the film, "Surveying, Texas Style," for the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors. He was named Surveyor of the Year by the TSPS in 1983. He was also a member of the American Federation of Musicians and a 32nd Degree Mason. She married James L Trammell Jr. on June 16, 1953, at Coleman. She retired as a loan officer and vice president of Lubbock National Bank after a 41-year career in the banking industry. She was also an instructor for the American Institute of Banking in Lubbock, a member of the West Texas Homebuilders Auxiliary Association, president of the South Plains Republican Club, president of the Legal Aid Society, a board member of the YWCA, a loaned executive for United Way and a member of Concho Baptist Church in Coleman. Also surviving are her husband; a son, James L. (Jay) Trammell of Singapore; a daughter, Marci Owens of Plainview; five sisters, Essie Hunter, Thelma Cox, Madie Burton and Ovella Harris, all of Coleman, and Ronnie Winslett of Brownwood; six other brothers, Jerry Baker of Odessa, J.C. Baker of Lovington, N.M., Howard Baker of Coleman, James Baker, Bob Baker and Ed Baker, all of Brownwood; six grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
