   A. J. Gowdy
   
   A.J. Gowdy, 96, died Tuesday night in a local hospital after a lengthy
   illness.
   
   Funeral services will be held at the Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with
   the Re. Ron Fox, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church and the Rev.
   Homer Matney officiating. Interment will be in Wilbarger Memorial Park
   
   Gowdy was born August 7, 1885 in Dennison, a son of Mr. and Mrs. E. V.
   Gowdy. He marries Eva Waldrum august 8, 1910 in Waurika, Okla. He was
   a Baptist.
   
   Surviving are a brother, James Gowdy of Midwest City, Okla. Several
   nieces and nephews also survive.
   
   Nephews will serve as pallbearers
