Relatives here received news of the death of Sam Henry Moore, 91, at
his home in Plainview. He was born, in Mississippi, and came to
Florence in 1867. He married Miss Mary E. Rutledge of Florence, They
moved to West Texas years ago. He will be remembered by many old-
timers here. one sister, Mrs. M. M. Harrison, 96, of Seymour, and a
number of other relatives survive. He was the uncle of Miss Cora Moore
and Mrs. Bernice Howell of Florence.

Note:  Sam Henry Moore was the son of John Mayfield Moore and 
Marinda White Paden.  He was the nephew of Lewelyn Moore in the
