Roberts Brenda Louise Roberts died Oct. 27, 2001, in the UC Medical Center in Sacramento at the age of 43. She was born in Woodland on Dec. 25, 1957, and went to school there for a short time before her family moved to Sacramento, where she attended Luther Burbank High School. A resident of Auburn for the past five years, she was a homemaker all of her adult life. She loved being in the outdoors and also crafts, including ceramics, dry flowers and quilting. She is survived by her son, Raymond Hopkins of Auburn; companion, Lloyd Hopkins of Auburn; parents, Tom and Faye Roberts of Sacramento; brothers, Leonard and Larry Roberts of Sacramento; and maternal grandparents, Raymond and Willie Coatney of Madision. She is also survived by her close friends Allene and Delbert Castro of Auburn; uncles, Dave and Betty Roberts of Taylor, Texas, Bernie and June Roberts of Florida and George and Jeanie Roberts of San Jose; aunts, Edna and Wayne Bootman of Los Angeles and Elsie and Tom Evas of Tennessee; and cousins, Lisa Roberts of Alameda and Margaret and Bob Mata of Taylor, Texas. Visitation will be held at McNary's Chapel on Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 11 a.m. at the Woodland Cemetery.
