THOMSON BORN JUNE 2, 1834 DIED MAR. 5, 1919 "There will be no parting in Heaven" Additional Comments: Born Daniel Dunbar Thomson on June 2, 1834 in Maury County, TN, the third of nine children to William Dowsing Thomson and Permelia Ann Evans. He is the grandson of Alexander S. Thomson, partner of Empresario Sterling C. Robertson, who settled 100 families in and around Bell County in 1831. "Boon", as he was known, served as a private in Waul's Texas Legion, Company A, CSA; enlisting in the 27th Brigade Texas Militia in 1861. He married first Mary Jane Easley of Alabama in 1859. Their children were: Bettie A., Annie Corrine, Daniel DeWitt, Edgar Eugene and Mollie Permelia. He married second Mollie C. King in 1875. Their children were: Ora K., James D., J. McDonald, Melville Garland, Lamar L., Lillian Mae and William Alexander. He died in Florence on March 5, 1919 and is buried in the Florence City Cemetery.
