The San Antonio Light November 6, 1950
Gus Doege, 18, LaVernia, was fatally injured in an auto collision four miles 
east of San Antonio on Highway 87 early Monday.
The sheriffs office reported he was riding in an auto driven by Robert C 
Friemel, 21, La Vernia.
Doege was dead on arrival at the Robert B Green hospital.
Friemel and two other passengers, Harvey Jones Bell, 24, and Brandon Vorphal, 
23,, also of LaVernia, were injured and taken to the county hospital. Their 
conditions was reported fair.
Simon Ramirez, 23, Atkins, driving the other vehicle, was not hospitilized.
