Service was Nov. 24, in the Paradise First Baptist Church. The Rev. Robert Owensby officiated. Burial followed at Paradise Cemetery. She was born July 20, 1958, in Fort Worth. She had lived in the Paradise area for 13 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Paradise First Baptist Church. She married Allan Cavender on Nov. 21, 1982, in Fort Worth. She is survived by her husband, Allen Cavender of Paradise; her mother, Lulawies Minter of Fort Worth; a son, David Cavender of Paradise; three daughters, Chelsea, Katie and Melanie Cavender of Paradise; three brothers, Charles Minter, Dennis Minter and Larry Durrett; and two sisters, Gay Cribbs and Virginia Lee. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Paradise Youth Ministry, P.O. Box 73, Paradise, Texas 76073 or the City of Euless Firefighters’ Benevolent Fund. Catherine Elizabeth Monson 1914-1999 Graveside service for Catherine Elizabeth Monson, 85, of Decatur, was to be Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999, at Oaklawn Cemetery in Decatur at 10 a.m. Ray Tindol was to officiate. Monson was born June 18, 1914, in Marlboro, Ohio. She died Nov. 24, 1999, in Dallas. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janes Palmer. Monson is survived by a son, Richard Monson of Las Vegas, Nev.; a sister, Agnes Reed of Alliance, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were to be Rodney and Rowdy Lisby, Chris Hodges, Jeremy Higgins, Dave Evans and Leon Sichel. Archie Ray Giles 1906-1999 Service for Archie Ray Giles, 93, of Bowie was Wednesday, Nov. 24 at Hawkins Funeral Chapel in Bridgeport. Burial followed at East Bridgeport Cemetery and the Rev. Joe Motsenbocker officiated. Giles died Nov. 22, 1999, in Bowie. Born Aug. 13, 1906, in Wise County, Giles lived in Wise County for 74 years. He lived the past 10 years in Bowie. He was a retired carpenter and a Baptist. He married Claudia Jewel Wilson on May 2, 1925, in Bridgeport. She died in 1979. Survivors include a daughter, Shirley VonHeuvel of Bridgeport; two grandchildren, Bobby Blount and Tracy VonHeuvel, both of Bridgeport; three great-grandchildren, Christopher Blount and Nicole Blount of Bridgeport and Bryan Blount of Wichita Falls; one great-great-grandchild, Desire Blount of Wichita Falls; and numerous nephews and nieces. William Roy Wooley 1923-1999 Service for William Roy Wooley, 76, of Springtown, was Friday at White’s Funeral Chapel in Springtown. Wooley died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 1999, at a hospital in Fort Worth. Born, Feb. 26, 1923, in Marlin, he was a retired machinist at American Manufacturing in Fort Worth where he had worked for 20 years. He had been a resident of Springtown since 1981. He served in World War II from 1942 until 1945 and was stationed in Europe. He was a member of the Springtown Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Tommie Lou Wooley of Springtown; four daughters, Judy and husband Les Hagins of Springtown, Darlene and husband Jerry Bobo of Springtown, Deana and husband Jimmy Rawlings of Boyd and Diana and husband Tolly Fry of Azle; one brother, Robert Wooley of Kemp, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. ..Thursday, November 25, 1999 Ruth Nadine Howell 1928-1999 Service for Ruth Nadine Howell, 71, formerly of Bridgeport, is Saturday, Nov. 27, at the First United Methodist Church in Bridgeport. The Rev. Johnny Irish will officiate. Burial will be in the East Bridgeport Cemetery. Howell, a resident of Fritch, Texas, died Nov. 21, 1999, in Des Moines, Iowa. Born May 28, 1928, in Osceola, Iowa, to Elbert Edward and Edith Arlene Reynolds, she was a former library director at the Bridgeport Public Library. She married Charles Howell on Nov. 28, 1948. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bridgeport and in Fritch. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Charles Howell of Fritch; her daughters, Linda Howell of Waco and Crystal Bone and friend Matt Matthews of Arlington; her sons, Jeffrey Howell and wife Rose Anna of Bridgeport and Charlie Howell, Jr. and friend Laura Stankosky of Dallas; her grandchildren, Lynsey Jean Howell and Russell William Keith of Bridgeport; her sister, Margaret Carson and husband Charles of New Virginia, Iowa; brothers, Robert Reynolds and wife Joyce of New Virginia and Edward Reynolds and wife Roberta of Indianola, Iowa. Rex Gayle Oldfield 1918-1999 Service for Rex Gayle Oldfield, 81, of Alvord, will be Nov. 26, 1999, at 2 p.m. at the Alvord Cemetery. The Rev. Warren Caruthers will officiate. Oldfield died Nov. 22, in Alvord. He was born March 18, 1918, in Okmulgee, Okla. He married the late Betty Louise Gibson on July 5, 1941. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a Methodist. Oldfield is survived by a son, Jim Oldfield of Boise, Idaho; two daughters, Judy Wolfe of Mountain Home, Idaho and Melinda Buchenau of Alvord; a sister, June Morring of Wichita Falls; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Robert Morgan Riley 1917-1999 Service for Robert Morgan Riley, 82, of Boyd, was Tuesday, Nov. 23, at the Briar Church of Christ. Burial followed at Keeter Cemetery. Allen Dutton officiated. Riley died Nov. 21, 1999, in Decatur. Born Sept. 1, 1917, in Fort Worth, he married Melva Judson on June 22, 1940, in Fort Worth. He was a member of the Briar Church of Christ and had retired from the oil refining industry. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee and Mattie Forbes Riley, a brother, Foy Riley and two sisters, Frances and Juanita. He is survived by his wife, Melva Riley; two sons, Damon Riley and wife Linda and Don Riley and wife Sara; daughters Joy Riley and Cathy Laxton and husband David; a brother, Jack Riley; a sister, Geneva Parker and six grandchildren, Scott, Jon, Kelby, Drew, Derek and Rebecca. C. Ford Fullingim 1904-1999 Service for C. Ford Fullingim, 95, was Tuesday, Nov. 23, at the South Main Church of Christ in Weatherford. Murphy Phillips officiated. Burial followed at Nevils Chapel Cemetery in Mount Pleasant. Fullingim died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999, at his home. Born Oct. 26, 1904, in Wise County, he graduated from Decatur High School. He married Myrtle Duncan. He worked in the oil industry and also owned and operated a department store in Silverton, Colo. He is survived by his son, Sam Fullingim and wife Billye of Georgetown; a daughter, Mary and husband Bill Lees of Lubbock; a granddaughter, Kaycee Lees Clapsaddle and husband Carl of Lubbock; a special friend, Romona Hibbs of Colorado and many nieces and nephews. Jimmie Taylor 1926-1999 Service for Jimmie Taylor, 73, of Decatur was Monday, Nov. 22, at Donnelly’s Colonial Chapel in Irving. Dr. Jim Ozier officiated and burial followed at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving. Taylor died Nov. 19, 1999, at his home in Decatur. Born July 19, 1926, in San Antonio, Taylor married Mary Lou Redmon on June 12, 1953, in Irving. He worked 35 years as a field engineer with Otis Elevator in Dallas and retired in 1985. He was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church in Greenwood and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Taylor was also a member of Masonic Lodge 1331. Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou of Decatur; four sons, Jim Ross Taylor of Dallas, Jack Denys Taylor of Richardson, David Shane Taylor of Flower Mound and Hank Taylor of Decatur; a sister, Rosemary Gilliam of San Antonio; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mary Wanda Bean 1928-1999 Service for Mary Wanda Bean, 71, of Fort Worth was Friday, Nov. 19, at Joshua Baptist Church. Burial followed at Cottonwood Cemetery in Bryson. She died Nov. 17, 1999, in Fort Worth. She was born Oct. 2, 1928, in Graham. She was a homemaker. Linda Tedder officiated. Burial followed at Pleasant Grove Cemetery No. 3. Lee died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999 in Wichita Falls. Lee was Born March 31, 1978, in Bridgeport. He was a student. He is survived by his father, Tracy Lee of Conroe; his mother and step-father, Linda and Bill Tammen of Wichita Falls; one brother, Brandon Lee of Wichita Falls; one sister, Rachael Lee of Bluff Dale; grandmothers Verlene Pate of Alvord and Mary Stangler of Decatur; several aunts and uncles and one nephew. Pallbearers were Kyle Zemanick, Heath Smith, Harrison Bricker, Brandon Lee, Gary Richardson and Brad Freeman. Honorary pallbearers were Eric Bennett and James Amoure. Chester Johnson 1921-1999 Graveside service for Chester Johnson, 78, of Fort Worth is to be Monday, Nov. 22, at the Justin Cemetery in Justin. Johnson died Thursday, Nov. 18, 1999, in Fort Worth. Born May 14, 1921 in Fort Worth, he was a self-employed contractor and a life long resident of Fort Worth. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1942 to 1945. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theresa P. and Uria B. Johnson. He is survived by the mother of his children, Nelda Johnson of Fort Worth; seven sons, Allen B. Johnson of Fort Worth, Paul Edward Johnson of Fort Worth, Phillip B. Johnson of Crowley, Bobby W. Johnson of Fort Worth, Donald Lynn Johnson of Joshua, Thomas C. Johnson of Fort Worth and David S.
