Gerald Cleveland will officiate. Burial will follow at the Boyd Cemetery. Blythe died Thursday, May 18, 2000, at his home in Boyd. Born April 29, 1914, in Tamaroa, Ill., he had resided in Boyd the past five years. He was a retired bricklayer and a lifetime member of the Brick Masons Union #6. He married Margaret Rainbolt Jan. 30, 1936, in Crown Point, Ind. They were married 64 years. He was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents and 10 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Blythe of Boyd; his sons, James L. and wife Ann Blythe, Lawrence and wife Leah Blythe and Robert and wife Arlene Blythe; a daughter, Carolyn and husband Alvin Bassham; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
