The Rev. Mary Rarden officiated and burial followed at Sunset Cemetery. Chambers died April 24, 2000, at her home in Dallas. Born Aug. 30, 1909, in Forestburg, Chambers was a retired teacher. She was a member of the Sunset United Methodist Church in Sunset and she grew up in Forestburg. She graduated from the University of North Texas with bachelor's and master's degrees in education. She taught school at Stoneburg, Sunset, Park Springs and Chico during her 36-year teaching career. She married Darrell Ray Chambers Sr. on Dec. 24, 1934, in Stoneburg. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Ettie Smith; and two half-brothers, Hoke and Everett Medley. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Lou Anna Chambers of Dallas; two grandchildren, Scott and his wife Helen of Mansfield and Jennifer Chambers of Duncanville; two great-grandchildren, Britani and Mickey Chambers, both of Mansfield; and several nieces and nephews. ---
