     Raleigh Christian - 1925 - 2000

Graveside service for Raleigh Christian, 75, of Sanger was Thursday, 
Feb. 10, at the Slidell Cemetery in Slidell. The Rev. Dickie Amyx 
officiated. Christian died Feb. 8, 2000, in Denton.

Born Jan. 7, 1925, in Decatur, Christian was a delivery truck driver 
for J&L Butane. 

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty, in 1975. 
He married Joy Moore in December of 1983.

Survivors include his wife, Joy Christian of Sanger; a son, Steve 
Christian of Paradise; two step-sons, Brent Gay of Sanger and Kent 
Weathers of Denton; a daughter, Katie Bartholow of Utica, Ohio; 
a step-daughter, Melody David of Sanger; a sister, Melba Christian of 
Bridgeport; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
