                        R.C. Dawson
                         1924-2000

Service for R.C. Dawson, 75, of Decatur, will be Friday, April 7, at 2 
p.m. in the Coker Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur. The Rev. C.D. Lockhart
will preside. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
Dawson died on April 3, 2000, in Decatur.

He was born on Oct. 1, 1924, in Clarksville. 
Dawson was a retired carpenter. He married the late Louise P. Lowry on
July 13, 1946, in Decatur. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a
member of St. John Baptist Church in Decatur.

Dawson is survived by three sons, Weldon Dawson of Decatur and Ronald 
and Donald McDade of Denton; two daughters, Sharon Dawson of Decatur 
and Tammy Harris of Pilot Point; a brother, Chancy Dawson of Pomona, 
Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
