The Revs. Rusty Hedges and Jerry Miller officiated. She died Wednesday, Nov. 29, in Decatur. Born Oct. 20, 1913, in Heidenheimer, Texas, she was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Decatur. Survivors include daughters Kathy Cunnius of Decatur and Penny Holt of Powell, Wyo.; two brothers Malcolm Green of Temple and Fred Green of Belton; and a sister, Margaret Dean of Temple. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Brandon and Brent Kelton, Ryan Cunnius, Justin Holt and Logan Holt and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers were Tommy Cunnius and Clyde Holt, III, and grandsons Brandon and Brent Kelton, Ryan Cunnius and Justin Holt. 'Tad' Hale, 73, of Cottondale was Friday, Dec. 1, in the Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel in Odessa. The Rev. Griffin Jones officiated. Burial followed at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Hale died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2000, in Decatur. Born Nov. 23, 1927, in Detroit, Mich., he moved to Odessa in 1937 and to Cottondale in 1997. He graduated from Odessa High School in 1944. He married Wanda Ruth Grimes in November of 1950. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a medical corpsman at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda, in 1959; his parents, Raymond and Blanche Hale and two brothers, Thomas Wilson and Bob Hale. He is survived by one son, Glenn Hale and his wife Becky of Paradise; three daughters, Beth Cox and her husband Mickey of Grand Junction, Colo., Lanette Davis and her husband Bill of Midland and Landra Priestly of San Antonio; one sister, Sharlene Wagner and husband R.G. of Odessa; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Born April 14, 1921 in Wise County, she was a lifetime resident of Wise County. She married Royce Holt on Aug. 22, 1953 in Bridgeport and was a home-maker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Paradise. She was preceded in death by her husband, Royce Holt, on Aug. 22, 1991. Born Sept. 30, 1913, in Wise County to Merlin and Buna Gage, he established Gage Chemical and Equipment Company in 1956, now owned and operated by his son, James Gage. He was a member of the Southside Church of Christ for 33 years and was a deacon. He graduated from North Texas State College. He was preceded in death by a sister, Merlyne Hunt of Houston and a brother, J.G. Gage of Denton. Born May 24, 1913, in Loving to the late Tom T. and Annie Rice, he was retired from Mitchell Energy and was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Navy Seabees and participated in the invasions of the Aleutian Islands and Okinawa. He helped build the airfield on Okinawa where the B-29, 'The Enola Gay,' landed after dropping the atom bomb on Japan. Early in his life, he played professional baseball in the minor leagues. He retired from Mitchell Energy Corp. in 1968. He married Melva B. Price on Aug. 9, 1940, in Newcastle. He was a member of St. John United Methodist Church in Jacksonville. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Melva B. Swallow was cremated and a memorial service will be held in Pomona, Kan., at a later date. He was born Dec. 21, 1944, in Pomona and had been a resident of Decatur since 1996. He was a universal network analyst for Burlington Northern Sante Fe Railroad. Born Oct. 17, 1910 in Decatur, she married Charlie Roy McDaniel on April 4, 1936, in Decatur. He preceded her in death. She was the owner of a pet kennel and a member of the Church of Christ in Decatur. She is survived by two daughters, Kerry Wilde of Trinity and Merrinette Williams of Burleson; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shirley Forrester 1937-2000 Graveside service for Shirley Forrester, 63, of Bowie, was to be Saturday, Dec. 30 at 2 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie. Rev. Buddy Ward was to officiate. Forrester died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000 in Denton. Born Jan. 8, 1937, in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, she married Glen Forrester on March 31, 1986, in Decatur. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist church. She is survived by her husband, Glen Forrester of Bowie; three daughters, Kim Parker and husband Marshall of Sanger, Ski Pugh and husband Coy of Milano and Penny Jones of Dallas; one step-daughter, Glenda Lawrence and husband Gary of Wichita Falls; step-sons Stephen Forrester and wife Debbie of Bridgeport and Bryan Forrester of Bridgeport; her mother, Mary Harvey of Prince Albert; three brothers, Al Boback and wife Maureen of Quebec, Canada, Larry Boback and wife Marie of British Columbia, Canada, Vick Boback and wife Betty of Prince Albert; a sister, Evelyn Boback of Prince Albert; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two step-grandsons and several nieces and nephews. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
