Tex Monk and Joe Richardson were to officiate and burial was to follow at West Bridgeport Cemetery. Dethloff died Jan. 26, 2000, in Decatur. Born Dec. 6, 1902 in Bridgeport, Dethloff was a lifetime resident of Paradise. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Carpenter St. Church of Christ of Bridgeport. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva; three brothers, Drewie, Jesse and Marvin; and a sister, Ethel Pitts. Survivors include three nieces, Ita Petty, Mavis Erwin and Barbara Reece; a nephew, Gewan Dethloff; and several other nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were to be Robert Stanfield, Jack Richardson, Claude Pewitt, Leon Dethloff, Mike Richardson and Alvin Dethloff.
