The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. *********************************************************************** Frances Fletcher 1911-2000 Service for Frances Fletcher, 88, of Bridgeport, was Sunday, April 30, at the First United Methodist Church of Bridgeport. The Rev. Johnny Irish presided. Burial followed at the East Bridgeport Cemetery. Fletcher died on April 27, 2000, in Sherman. She was born Dec. 30, 1911, in Greenwood County, Kan. She moved to Bridgeport from Kansas in 1960. She was a piano instructor for 34 years. She was a graduate of Emporia State College in Emporia, Kan. She was an active member of the Eastern Star and the First United Methodist Church in Bridgeport. She married Tom Fletcher on Aug. 14, 1939, in Madison, Kan. They were married 52 years prior to his death in 1991. She was also preceded in death by a son, Kenneth in 1985, and brother, Kenneth Hamer. Fletcher is survived by her son and his wife, Dr. Tom and Janet Fletcher; a daughter and her husband, Jeanne and Gary Dawkins; and four grandchildren, John, Bryan, Laura and Sherry. Pallbearers were Dr. William Huddleston, Embry Hines, Aaron Green, Bill Johnson, Bob Carpenter and Alan Green. Memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund.
