Howard Wade Franklin
1937-2000

Service for Howard Wade Franklin, 63, of Bridgeport was Thursday, April
27, at the Hawkins Funeral Chapel in Bridgeport. The Rev. Ryan Reed 
officiated. Wade died April 23, 2000, in Decatur.

Born Jan. 5, 1937, in Marietta, Ga., Franklin was a veteran of the U.S.
Navy and a graduate of Georgia Tech. He was a retired systems consultant
for NCR Corp. and a member of the MENSA Society.

Survivors include a son, Michael Wade Franklin; a daughter, Sarah Van 
Vlake; a sister, Edwina Franklin and a grandson, Michael Wade Franklin,
Jr.
