         Charles William Jones - 1929-2000

Service for Charles William Jones, 70, of Derby, N.Y., was on Feb. 21, 
at the First United Methodist Church in Bridgeport. The Rev. Johnny 
Irish presided. Jones died on Feb. 20, 2000, in Bridgeport.

He was born on Sept. 25, 1929, in Hamburg, N.Y. He was a retired steel
mill worker. Jones married Arline Mae Schumacher on April 9, 1948, in
Derby. 

He was preceded in death by his children, Melvin, Michael, Charles and 
Jacqueline.

Jones is survived by his wife, Arline; three sons, Roy H. Jones and his
wife Patti, Fred A. Jones and his wife, Terri and Robert K. Jones and 
his wife Karol; three daughters, Mildred A. Weber and her husband Tom, 
Linda C. White and her husband Ronald and Francine M. Calvert and her 
husband Clayton; two brothers, Earl and Harry Jones; four sisters, 
Marion Nagle, Ruth Bieleher, Lois Lochte and Margaret Sterner; 
20 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Donations may be made to the American Heart Association and the American
Diabetes Association.
