                      Jim Jordan
                      1936-2000

Service for Jim Jordan, 63, of Boyd was to be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April
8, at the Christian-Hawkins Funeral Chapel in Boyd. The Rev. Norman 
Abernathy was to preside and burial was to follow at Boyd Cemetery.
Jordan died April 5, 2000, in Decatur.

Born April 24, 1936, in Franklin, Ohio, to John and Elizabeth Philpot 
Jordan, Jordan wed Geraldine Brewer on Feb. 15, 1976, in Las Cruces, 
N.M. He was an Army veteran and a member of the Scottish Rite. Jordan
was also a 32nd degree Mason and a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Geraldine Jordan; his mother 
and her husband, Elizabeth and Kenny Robinson; four sons and two 
daughters-in-law, Robert Anthony Jordan, James Anthony and Susan 
Lunsford, Jeff and Sheila Lunsford and Randy Dennis; a daughter and 
son-in-law, Karen and William Libecap; a sister, Sue Ellen Lain; six 
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
