The Rev. Jim Taylor will officiate. Kelly died May 22, 2000, in Fort Worth. Born May 10, 1936, in Monroe, La., he was the owner of Qualified Electrical Services of Decatur and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. He was a 32nd degree Mason and was active in the Scottish Rite and York Rite. Kelly was also a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and a longtime resident of Brazoria where he served in the Brazoria Lions Club. He was also the Brazoria County Democratic Precinct Party Chairman. Survivors include five daughers, Margarette Olivier and husband, Pete; Regina Hopkins and husband, Johnny; Debra Kelly, Anita Elliot and Shannon Hamilton and husband, James; a sister, Clara K. Laxton; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and two nephews, James and Todd Laxton.
