The Rev. Bill Dye officiated and burial followed at East Bridgeport Cemetery. Meek died March 3, 2000, at her home in Bridgeport. Born Sept. 20, 1911, in Chico, Meek was a lifetime resident of Bridgeport. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Bridgeport. She married Otis Grady Meek on Dec. 24, 1932. He preceded her in death on Oct. 15, 1970. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Dalton Wood. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Norma and G.B. Funk; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Sue Meek; four grandchildren, Chris Funk and his wife Penny, Trevor Meek, Mark Funk, M.D. of San Antonio and Jeffrey Meek of Oklahoma City, Okla.; three great-grandchildren, Shane, Cara and Gentry Funk; two sisters, Opal Petty of Fort Worth and Bernice Phillips; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Robert Meek, Jeffrey Meek, Trevor Meek, G.B. Funk, Chris Funk and Mark Funk, M.D. ------------------------------
