Marvin Eldred Miles
1913-2000

Service for Marvin Eldred Miles, 86, of Rhome, was Friday, April 21, at
the Christian-Hawkins Chapel in Boyd. The Rev. Robby Chancey officiated.
Burial followed at the Aurora Cemetery.
Miles died Tuesday, April 18, 2000, at a Justin nursing home.

Born Oct. 2, 1913, in Kansas, Ala., he married Vera Harper on April 11,
1936, in Gorgas, Ala. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served 
during World War II. He was a retired route supervisor for Pepsi Cola.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Vera Miles; his son, Bobby and 
wife Jane Miles; his daughter, Cathy and husband Robby Chancey; two 
sisters, Vivian Steadman and Audrey Webb; four grandchildren and eight 
great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Bobby Miles, Robby Chancey, Brad Chancey, Steve 
Samsill, David Ramsey and Mike Stevenson.
