                   Kathryn Chilton Morris
                         1913-2000

Graveside service for Kathryn Chilton Morris, 86, of Runaway Bay was
Monday, March 20, at the East Bridgeport Cemetery. The Rev. Johnny
Irish presided.
Morris died March 18, 2000, in Decatur.

She was born on May 16, 1913, in Bridgeport.
Morris was a retired school teacher who graduated from Texas Tech
University in 1957 with a bachelor of science in education. She taught 
history and social studies in Texas public schools for 25 years. 
She was a 60-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star.


She married Kit Carson Morris on May 22, 1937, in Plains. 
He preceded her in death, as did her parents, Fred and Lillian Chilton.

Morris is survived by her niece, Lillian Farmer and her husband Leon, 
of Runaway Bay, as well as four other nieces and nephews.
