                  Mary I. Pendley - 1908-2000

Graveside service for Mary I. Pendley, 91, of Newark was Monday, Feb. 
28 at the Resthaven Cemetery in Lubbock. The Rev. Jimmy N. Dennis 
officiated. Pendley died Feb. 24, 2000, Azle.

Born March 28, 1908 in Oklahoma, Pendley was a resident of Newark for 
18 years. She was a member of the Cornerstone Church in Newark and the 
widow of Lee H. Pendley. 

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1978. She was also preceded
in death by a son, Jerrel Pendley, and a daughter, Maggie Lue Davis.

Survivors include two sons, Leon Pendley of California and James Pendley
of Wichita Falls; two daughters, Mary Lee Coffer of Newark and Shirley 
Weatherley of Fort Worth; a sister, Jessie Nelson of Oklahoma; and 22 
grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
