              Russell Robert Pugh - 1920-2000

Memorial service for Russell Robert Pugh, 79, of Runaway Bay, will be 
Sunday, Feb. 27, at 2 p.m. at the Runaway Bay Community Church. 
The Rev. Gary Smith will officiate. Pugh died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000,
in Dallas.

Born June 2, 1920, in Bartlesville, Okla., he lived in Runaway Bay 25 
years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps and served during 
World War II. He was a retired heavy machinery mechanic for City 
Service. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
 
He married Elsie Opal Whitsell in Pampa in 1949. She preceded him in 
death in April 1991.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Anita Davis; a 
granddaughter, Sharon Everson; a sister, Alveda Perkins and six 
brothers, Lester, Ralph, Raymond, Wilbur, Irvin and Virgil Pugh.

He is survived by his daughters, Betty J. Issacs and husband Eddie of 
Carrollton and Daline Stott and husband, David of London, England; a 
brother, Lorran Pugh of Owasso, Okla.; two sisters, Freda Gilmore of 
McAlister, Okla. and Bonnie Santourian of Los Angeles, Calif.; nine 
grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren 
and numerous nieces and nephews.
