He died Friday, March 24, 2000, in Decatur. Ryan Morrison was to conduct the service. He was born Aug. 13, 1913, in Era. Skinner, a longtime Wise County mechanic, owned Skinner's Garage in Decatur for 35 years. Prior to opening his own garage, Skinner had been a technician at several automobile and farm equipment dealerships in Decatur. Skinner married Leona Beatrice Cogburn on Feb. 19, 1937, in Love County, Okla. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Leona Beatrice Skinner of Decatur, and sons and daughters-in-law Dwight and Winn Skinner of Denton, David and Terry Skinner of Paradise and son Joey Skinner of Denton and daughter Martha June Skinner of Decatur. He is also survived by a brother, Joe Skinner of Decatur and four grandchildren Reneau Skinner of New York and Amanda, Allison and Grant Skinner, all of Denton. -------
