                          Rufus Jr. Smith
                             1932-2000

Graveside service for Rufus Jr. Smith, 67, of Decatur was to be at 2 
p.m., Wednesday at Oaklawn Cemetery. The Rev. Bill Hughes was to 
officiate. Smith died April 3, 2000, in Decatur.

Born Oct. 7, 1932, in DeQueen, Ark., Smith was a welder and a Marine 
veteran.

Survivors include a son, Robert Smith of Lake Worth; two daughters, 
Cynthia Richardson of Azle and Deborah Brister of Springtown; two 
brothers, Curtis Smith of Saginaw and James Smith of Fort Worth; four 
sisters, Mary Ethel Ketcham, Ida D'Anza, Iva Dean Newfeld and Patricia 
Stevens, all of Fort Worth; 
five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
