                       Gerald Earl Stockwell
                               1924-2000

A memorial service for Gerald Earl Stockwell, 76, of Boyd was to be 
Wednesday, April 5 at 1 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in 
Boyd. The Rev. Rusty Hedges was to officiate.
Stockwell died April 1, 2000, in Decatur.

Born March 27, 1924, in Mendota, Ill., Stockwell married Marilyn Swisher
on Sept. 9, 1945, in Marion County, Ind. 

He was a veteran of World War II and served in the Army. He lived in 
Boyd for 20 years and was a member of the First United Methodist Church
of Boyd.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Marilyn Stockwell; a son, Paul 
Stockwell; two daughters, Collen Magnuson and Vicki North ; three 
brothers, Gilbart, Roger and Arlynn Stockwell; two sisters, Marjorie 
Meyers and Cheryl Graf; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
