                    Anna Leona Banks Vining
                             1902-2000

Service for Anna Leona Banks Vining, 97, of Newark was Tuesday, April 4
at the Lucas Memorial Chapel in Hurst. Burial followed at Laurel Land 
Memorial Park in Dallas. Vining died March 31, 2000.

Born Dec. 9, 1902, in Alto, Vining was married to Charles M. Vining in 
1925.  They moved to Dallas and she was a homemaker and a caregiver. 
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Gerald Vining, and an 
infant son, and grandson, Victor M. Vining, six brothers, three sisters
and 13 nephews and nieces. She was a Methodist.

Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Alice and Jerry 
Robinson of Newark and Ima Jean Vining of Newark; eight grandchildren, 
Jerry Anne Wallin, Joe Lee Vining, Jerry M. Vining, Patricia Powell, 
Susan Tolbert, Richard "Dick" Robinson, Allison Vining and Matt Vining;
16 great-grandchildren; and eight nieces.
