The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. *********************************************************************** Don James Williams 1905-2000 Service for Don James Williams, 94, of Decatur will be Monday, April 24, at 10 a.m. in the Coker Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur. The Rev. Jerry Miller will preside. Burial will follow at the Aurora Cemetery in Aurora. Williams died on April 20, 2000, in Decatur. He was born on Aug. 9, 1905, in Orange. He spent 38 years in Houston and retired in 1970 from the Houston Power and Light Co. He moved to Dallas in 1973 and then to Decatur in 1977. Williams was a fifth-generation native Texan. He was a descendant of Stephen Williams, a soldier in the American Revolution, the War of 1812 and the Texas Revolution. His wife, Verna Bradford Williams preceded him in death in 1994. Williams is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Henry J. and Betty F. Williams of San Antonio; two grandchildren, Bruce and Charles and his wife Sherri Williams of Decatur; three nieces and their families, Pat Rhine, Donna and Loyd Jackson and Betty Rhodes, all of Decatur; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. ---
