Burial was in Springtown Cemetery. He was the father of Penny Wheelis of Alvord and Hollie McCabe of Runaway Bay. Wood died Wednesday, June 26, 2002, in Springtown. Born Nov. 4, 1932, in Altus, Okla., he was a former Airman 3rd class in the U.S. Air Force who served during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Clayton; mother, Anna Bula Wood; and infant brother, Lawrence Dale Wood. He is survived by his wife, Naomi Ruth; three sons, Gerald L. He was the uncle of Joan and Lee Vileta of Rhome and the great-uncle of Jay and Ryan Vileta of Rhome. He was born in New Albion, N.Y. In 1956, he married Mary Peckham Harvey in Bradford, Pa. He attended school in Randolph, N.Y. and served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He was formerly employed by Owens Illinois and Bradford Hospital. He died Friday, June 28, 2002, in Crafton. Richey was born October 1, 1902, in Jack County, the son of John and Pearl (Smith) Richey. He was a retired oil field pumper and farmer and a member of the First Baptist Church in Chico. He was a lifetime resident of Wise County. He married Leota Martin on October 1, 1932, in Bridgeport. She died Jan. 27, 1998. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents and seven brothers. Burial was in Muleshoe Memorial Park. Rev. Stacy Conner and Weldon Killough, Morris’ nephew, officiated. Morris was the brother of Betty Remmele of Paradise. He died Thursday, June 27, 2002, in Muleshoe. Born Aug. 7, 1921, in Fort Worth, he married Savannah Truelock on Aug. 17, 1952, in Pea Ridge, Ark. They moved to Muleshoe after living several years in Christoval. He served in the Merchant Marines and was a prisoner of war during World War II. He was a member of the Ex-POW Association and the American Ag Movement and was also a volunteer firefighter. He was preceded in death by a sister, Kathryn Bush and two brothers, Weldon Killough and Bill Killough. Kroksh 1921-2002 Memorial service for George A. Kroksh, 80, of Decatur was Tuesday, July 2 at the Coker Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur. He died Sunday, June 29, 2002, in Decatur. Kroksh was born Sept. 8, 1921, in Tremonton, Utah. He was a retired vice president of Consolidated Freightways. He married Lore Miner on Nov. 24, 1989, in Las Vegas. He served three terms of service in the military. From 1942 to 1945 he served in the U.S. Army Airforce as a pilot in World War II in the South Pacific (Guam). He served in the Korean conflict from 1950 to 1952, flying paratroopers out of Japan to Korea. Kroksh also served in the Vietnam conflict by flying troops and supplies to Vietnam. When not on active duty, he served in the Air Force Reserve. Kroksh was a member of the First Baptist Church. He was a pipeline welder and worked for Lone Star Gas for 47 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in World War II. He was born April 13, 1942, in Montague to Sidney and Marjorie Roberts Gilmore. Gilmore married Carol Phillips on October 14, 1960, in Bowie. He was a member of the Addington First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Sid Gilmore and a sister, Nora Lou Gilmore. Born February 17, 1925, in Paradise, he was retired from the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the First Christian Church in Paradise. He retired from Continental Oil. He married Frances Albritton Jan. 11, 1998 in Boyd. He was preceded in death by his first wife Bobbye Gentry Harms, son Jimmy Harms and sisters Etta Lorene Reid, Catherine Bowman and Helen Hartsell. Bove was born Sept. 24, 1945, in Clifton to Faynell Fullwood Clay and the late Rev. Elzie “Judge” Clay. She attended Ector High School in Odessa and graduated from Grayson Community College in Sherman where she received a degree as a respiratory therapist. She worked 15 years as a respiratory therapist at Bridgeport Hospital. She married John Franklin White Jr. on Aug. 24, 1962, and married Anthony Richard Bove on Nov. 19, 1985. They moved to Gatesville in 1992. She was a member of the Live Oak Baptist Church and the Doreus Sunday School Class. She is survived by her husband Anthony “Tony” Bove of Gatesville; her mother, Faynell Clay of Gatesville; daughter, LeAnn Kathleen Huddleston of Austin; sons, Darwin Lee White of Denton and John Franklin White III of Ft. Worth; sister, Donna Gay Clay of Gatesville; eight grandchildren, Brian, Brandon, Bryanna, Rachelle, Delise Ann, Bryan, Sarah and Matthew; two uncles; six aunts; and a niece. He was a 1940 graduate of Floyd High School. He served in the Army Air Corps from October 1942 through 1946. He married Jeanelle Holder on Jan. 11, 1948, in Weatherford. Jackson was a captain for Delta Airlines, and he retired after 30 years of service on Jan. 31, 1982. Jackson was preceded in death by his parents. Dunn died Wednesday, July 24, 2002, in Decatur. He was born November 9, 1910, in Decatur. He was a graduate of Decatur high school and North Texas State University. Dunn was a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy and served during World War II on the U.S.S. Lanier as a communications officer. He was the owner of Dunn’s Hardware for 57 years. He served as president of the Lions Club, school board and the Decatur Golf Club.
