Last night the members of the Reagan Guards, a military company organized here April 8, were sworn into service. The following are the names of the commissioned officers: H. H. Cate, captain; R. H. Bruce, first lieutenant; L. N. Turman, second lieutenant. The company has a full complement of men. Two leading Mineola merchants -- Mr. B. F. Read and Mr. J. H. Newsom -- had the privilege of naming the company, having contributed the largest amount of money for the purchase of uniforms.
