On March 22, 1939, Mrs. C. G. Adams died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. M. E. Cameron of Seagoville, Texas. Mrs. Adams was born Sarah (sic) Gorda Berry on Nov. 2, 1850, at Pike County, Alabama; was married to J. Q Adams in 1864, who preceded her in death in 1909. To this union were born 14 children, nine surviving as follows: J. D. Adams, Hillsboro; Mrs. Eron Gipson, St. Louis, Mo.; Mrs. S. E. Folmer, Yantis; Joe Adams, Carthage; Mrs. Agness Graham, Mangham, La.; Mrs. Beatrice Cameron, Seagoville; J. T. Adams, Vernon; Mrs. Sara Baker, Dallas; Mrs. Ethel Wyatt, Paducah. There are 48 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and 3 great- great- grandchildren. Funeral services were in charge of Tapp Funeral Home at Yantis Baptist Church by Rev. Hill, pastor of the Yantis church, assisted by Rev. A. J. Alford. Interment was made in Yantis Cemetery. Pall bearers were grandsons, Walter and Jr. Adams, J. R. Sparkman, Boy (sic) Graham, Russell Baker and Olen Folmer. Flower girls were granddaughters.
