NOLEN, J. B., age 62, passed away Monday afternoon at his home at Yantis,
following a stroke of paralysis Friday from which he never regained
consciousness.

He was a native of Alabama and spent the past 30 years at Yantis. He is
survived by his wife and the following children: Mrs. Maurice Kelty, Sulphur
Springs; Mrs. Roy Gamblin, Yantis; Mrs. McKinney Hinton, Arbala; Miss Vernice,
A. J. and Vernon Nolen, Yantis.

He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. Julia Nolen, Alabama; two brothers,
Ira, Yantis; and Bell(sic), Alabama; three sisters, Mrs. Ada Day and Mrs.
Jodie Smith, Alabama, and Mrs. Frank Frazier, Arbala.

Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church in Yantis, conducted by Rev.
E. M. Bain.
