Mr. Williams was a member of the Methodist Church and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy Seabees. Carolyn Pettus GRAHAM -- Carolyn Pettus, 56, a retired school teacher and cattle rancher, died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2000, at her home, in Graham. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church in Graham. Memorials: Graham Regional Medical Center or to your favorite charity. Carolyn Pettus was born Sept. 6, 1944. She graduated from North Texas State University in 1966. She was a first grade teacher at Shawnee Elementary School. She loved cattle ranching and was actively managing a cow-calf operation at the time of her death. After retiring from the classroom she continued to help children by volunteering for the Graham Independent School District mentoring program.
