All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ****************************************** Graham Leader - Tuesday, December 14, 2004 Ila (Riggins) Helton, 90, of Olney, died Monday, Dec. 13, 2004, at United Regional Health Care System in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, at Southside Baptist Church with the Rev. Andy Graham, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at True Cemetery under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home. Mrs. Riggins was born March 26, 1914, in Padgett to the late Willis D. and Laura (Kelly) Riggins. She married Estil Helton Nov. 11, 1935, in Elbert. He preceded her in death March 18, 1996. She graduated from Graham High School and George B. Hamilton School of Vocational Nursing. She was a nurse at Olney Hamilton Hospital for 27 years. She lived in Olney for 29 years and was a member of Southside Baptist Church. In 2003, she moved to Twelve Oaks Retirement Center in Irving. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Jean Helton, in 1944; a brother, M.J. Riggins; and a sister, Johnnie Bell Hale. Survivors include a son, Larry Helton and wife Conita of Irving; a brother, Bryant Riggins of Graham; and many nieces and nephews.
