"Jim" Johnson, 79, died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2004, in Wichita Falls. Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 27, at Lunn Funeral Home Chapel with Scotte Clark officiating. Burial followed at Jean Cemetery. Mr. Johnson was born May 19, 1925, to the late James Ethan and Esther (Wall) Johnson. He married Dorothy Lamons Sept. 5, 1947, in Olney. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific Theater Campaign and was part of the last wave into Japan. He worked for Calvin Gas Company in Olney from 1946 until his retirement in 1990. He was a member of First Baptist Church and was Past Master of Olney Masonic Lodge No. 790 AF&AM. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Dorothy Johnson, June 19, 1999, and a sister, LaRue Hyatt, March 9, 2004. Survivors include two daughters, Marcella Alexander and husband Neil and Billie Jane Connors and husband Kevin, all of Wichita Falls; a sister, Geraldine Dalrymple of Olney; five grandchildren, Rhonda, Pat, Tristan, Tammy and Ben; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
