Frank M. Pounds, 68, of Newcastle died Tuesday, June 8, 2004, in Graham.
Memorial services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, June 12, at the gazebo in Newcastle
Cemetery under the direction of McMillan- Satterwhite Funeral Home.

Mr. Pounds was born Jan. 28, 1936, in Palestine, and was a long time resident of
Newcastle. He was instrumental in the formation of the Young County Rural Fire
Department and was a member of First Baptist Church in Newcastle.

Survivors include his wife, Joy (Evans) Pounds of Newcastle; a daughter, Mary
Kay Pounds of Oregon; three sons: Frank Pounds Jr. of North Carolina Billy Joe
Pounds of Weatherford, Okla., and Mikel Fuwausa of New York.
