All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ****************************************** Graham Leader - Friday, February 04, 2005 Lonnie Edward Rhodes, 87, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005, at Graham Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 4, at Morningside Baptist Church in Graham, where he was a member. Interment was at Dark Corner Cemetery in Jack County. McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Rhodes was born February 7, 1917, in Jack County, Texas, and lived in Young County most of his life. Mr. Rhodes was a retired miller and worked at the Graham Mill and Elevator for many years. He served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater during World War II. Mr. Rhodes was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include his wife, Thelma Lorene Rhodes of Graham; a daughter, Linda Bell and husband Ron of Wichita Falls; four sons, Jerry Rhodes of Abilene, Richard Rhodes and wife Shirley of Lavernia, and David Rhodes and wife Donna and Mike Rhodes, all of Graham; a brother, Chester Rhodes of Loving; three sisters, Alma Price and Lottie Beasley, both of Wichita Falls, and Bessie Gravlee of Jacksboro; six grandchildren, Jason Rhodes, Kelly Kohout, D.J. Rhodes, Cody Rhodes, Vicky Kohout and Danny Rhodes; three stepgrandchildren, Nathan Cartwright, Jacob Cartwright and Amber Armstrong; one great-grandchild, Justin Jodlowski; and several nieces and nephews.
