Shouse, 71, died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2004, in Wichita Falls. Graveside services were held Tuesday, Dec. 21, at Memory Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Senkel, pastor of Salem-Crestview Methodist Church of Graham, officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Shouse was born Oct. 10, 1933, in Durham, Okla., and was raised in Canadian. He married Vernice Hulsey Aug. 7, 1950, in Fort Sumner, N.M. She preceded him in death Oct. 18, 1974. He later married Sandra "Sandy" Cotten Aug. 23, 1975, at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Pampa. He worked for Malcolm Hinkle for 19 years and later owned and operated H&S Heating and Air Conditioning in Pampa until he retired in 1990. He moved to Nocona in 1990 and then to Graham in 1994. He was a member of Salem-Crestview United Methodist Church in Graham. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Annie Shouse; a son, Mike Shouse; a sister, Cleta Elliott; a brother, Roy Junior Shouse; and a great-grandson, Jeremiah Villegas. Survivors include his wife, Sandra "Sandy" Shouse of Graham; a son, Billy Shouse and wife Cristy of Pampa; a daughter, Debe Shouse of Gainesville; three sisters, Mary Ellyson of Weatherford, Clara Halford of Barnsdall, Okla., and Carolyn Cook of Wacombis, Okla.; a daughter-in-law, Edwina Shouse of Pampa; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
