"Last Rites for Mr. Sutton Held in Oklahoma"

Stuart S. Sutton, son of R. L. Sutton and the late Ida Sutton was born in Blair,
Nebraska August 29, 1892, and passed away at his home in Graham, January 27,
1949.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Charles F. Carrico at Morrison Funeral
Chapel in Graham, January 28. Pallbearers were T.T.W. Brazelton, W. G.
Davenport, G. H. Fore, Fred Higginbottom, B. L. Kirtley, and John T. Nunnelee.
Final services were held at Cordry Funeral Home in Hennessy, Oklahoma on January
29, 1949. Burial was in the Hennessey Cemetery.

Mr. Sutton graduated from Hennessey High School with the class of 1911 and later
attended Oklahoma Methodist University at Guthrie. He married Florence Robinson
on May 15, 1917 in Enid, Oklahoma. To this union one son, Cecil, was born.

Mr. Sutton served with the 90th Infantry Division during World War I spending a
year in France and Germany. He became engaged in various phases of the oil
production business after his return from military service and followed that
occupation until his death.

He lived in Marshall, Covington and Enid, Oklahoma communities for a number
years. He united with the University Place Christian Church of Enid in 1932. The
family moved to Graham in 1934.

He was a member of Covington Lodge 484 A.F. & A. M. and of American Legion of
Graham and Modern Woodman of Marshall, Oklahoma.

Mr. Sutton is survived by his wife and son Cecil of Graham and his father, R. L.
Sutton of Hennessey, Oklahoma.
