Left us unexpectedly on Monday, October 7, 2002 from complications of a rare autoimmune disease (P.A.N.). Clark was raised by his loving parents Grant and Valeen Wood in Ogden. He later moved his family to Brigham, where he resided until his passing. Clark graduated from Ogden High. While in high school he was on the debate team, played in the band, helped with many plays, and excelled in photography. He later attended school to become an electrician. He married Annette Andersen and was later divorced. From this union were born three children, Clark, Jr., Kristopher, and Anne, the lights of his life. On May 20, 1990, Clark and Kathleen were joined in marriage. He became a special "second" father to Kathleen s four children, Jenafer, Dora, Bill and Russ. Clark was a quiet man, yet a tower of strength to those he loved; always ready to help whenever asked or needed. Hard working and loyal, he will be greatly missed. Clark was skilled in many things, but found his true calling as an electrician, working for Box Elder Electric for the past twelve years. Clark was a civic minded man, a member of the Jaycees and BPOE (Elks), having the extinction of being the last Exhalted Ruler of the Brigham City Elks. For leisure he loved a camping/fishing trip, especially when shared with his children. Also the many minute getaways with his wife and a good round of golf. Clark is survived by his parents, sister, Shauna Cox and family of San Ramon, CA., his wife, children and eight grandchildren: Codie, Grace, Gabriel, Corina, Zane, Niki, Jordan and Scott. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City. Viewing will be held Friday night from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery. REVA BIRCH SADLER BRIGHAM CITY - Our loving mother, grandmother and sister, Reva Birch Sadler, 86, formerly of West Valley City, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2002 at the Brigham City Hospital of incident of age. She was born on February 4, 1916 in Blue Bell, Utah, a daughter of Heber and Charlotte Hussey Birch. Reva married Clarence Gunnard Kelstrom. They were later divorced. There were two children born in this marriage, VaLoy (Jerry) Stuart residing in Blackfoot, Idaho and Doyle C. (RuthAnn) Kelstrom of Brigham City, Utah. She later married Terrell Deck in the Idaho Falls Temple and resided in Sandy, Oregon. He preceded her in death in 1963. Following death of her husband, she moved to Southern Utah, where she met and married William Sadler. They were later divorced. She recently moved from West Valley City to Brigham City to be closer to her son and daughter-in-law. She was a active member of the LDS church, where she had various callings. She is survived by her daughter, son, one brother, Kenneth Birch of North Ogden; 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and sisters and one great grandson. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 4, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, Utah. PAT MILLAWAY BRIGHAM CITY Pascal "Pat" Lynville Millaway, 81, passed away Thursday, October 03, 2002 at his home in Brigham City, of cancer. Pat was born April 7, 1921 in DesArc, Arkansas He was in the U.S. Marine Corps and served in the Pacific Theater during WW II. After the war he married Dorothy Claeys, and a son, Gary, was born of that marriage. They later divorced. He married Bette J. Wiesel in 1952, and the marriage was later solemnized in the Los Angeles Temple. He is survived by his loving wife, Bette, 4 children: Gary Lee (Dorathy), Richard Walbridge, Theresa (Donald) Arthur, Carla (James) Withers, 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and a host of friends. A son, Steven Grant Millaway, preceded him in death. Services will be Monday, October 7, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at Corinne Ward Chapel, 2325 N. 4000 W., Corinne, UT. Send condolences to the family at www.myers-mortuary.com STEPHANIE ANN FRASIER KIMBER BRIGHAM CITY - Stephanie Ann Frasier Kimber, 42, a mother who was kind hearted and lovable passed away on Monday, October 7, 2002. She was born June 2, 1960 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a daughter of Frank and Gae Miller Frasier. Stephanie married Randy Kimber on May 6, 1988 in Bountiful, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on May 26, 1989. They began their married life in Grouse Creek, Utah for the first five years, where they lived on a ranch raising cows, horses, chickens and kids. They then moved to Brigham City. Stephanie loved the outdoors, singing, and being out home with her husband and children. "A mother is a person who if she is not there when you get home from school you wouldn t know how to get your dinner, and you wouldn t feel like eating it anyway." WE LOVE YOU MOM!!! I LOVE YOU!!! Interment will be in the Grouse Creek Cemetery, Grouse Creek, Utah. LISA BARKER TAYLORSVILLE- Lisa Barker, 32, passed away October 3, 2002 at her home in Taylorsville, Utah of unknown causes. Lisa was born in Tokyo, Japan on July 14, 1970 the daughter of Keiko Yomaguchi Denton and Jeffrey W. Barker. Lisa was a student at Salt Lake Community College. She loved school and being a student. Lisa and her family came to Utah, while her Dad was still in the Air Force. They were stationed at Mt. Home Air Force Base in Idaho for a year before they returned to Utah. After being discharge from the Military the family moved to Ogden, Utah and lived on Franklin Ave. After the divorce of her parents, Lisa and Sharon came to Willard to live with their Grandparents Harry and Carol Barker. After living there for several years, they moved to North Willard with their Dad, living in Great-grandpa Barkers home. Lisa is survived by her daughter; Kenne Dee Mills, father; Jeff, sister; Sharon, her grandmother; Carol Barker, mother; Keiko and her step-father; Rick Denton, Seattle Washington, ex-husband; Brent Sylvester, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Mullins, born in Scofield, Utah, passed away October 8, 2002, in Brigham City, Utah, at the age of 80. He was the son of Frank Mullins and Mary Ann Davis Mullins. He attended Carbon High School, where he played various sports, and later graduated from the University of Utah. He was employed in procurement at Thiokol for almost 28 years and retired in 1987 at the age of 67. Jim was an avid golfer and loved to play in tournaments. His favorite golf course was Eagle Mountain where he made three hole in ones. He respected the integrity of the game and lived his life in much the same manner, with honesty, integrity and a sense of fair play. He truly loved his family and friends and was adored by his grandchildren. Jim married Donna Lue Nielsen Mullins in Price, Utah, on July 18, 1952, who predeceased him. They were married for forty-seven years and enjoyed traveling. They would spend each winter in Hawaii with their daughter's family who lived on Kauai. They were so well known and liked by the locals that they were considered to be one of them, "Kama'aina". He was also predeceased by his brother Marvin Mullins and his sister Mary Mullins Wahl. He is survived by his sister Betty Mullins Rose of Plano, Texas, and his brother Robert Mullins of Las Vegas, Nevada. He is survived by a son Bob Mullins of Centerville, Utah, two daughters, Michelle Mullins Cuatto of Kauai, Hawaii, and Tamera Mullins Jensen of Mendon, Utah, and eight grandchildren. To his family he was a mentor, to his friends he was an inspiration. He will be dearly missed. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 14, at Myers Mortuary. He was born January 6, 1924 in Brigham City, Utah, a son of Fred Wilmer and Lucy Ella Wight Young. He married LaVerne Hunter on October 22, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Robert was raised in Brigham City and Promontory. After he married, he lived in Taylor for 13 years, Washington Terrace 5 years and Sunset, Utah since 1965. He graduated from Box Elder High School. Robert was a member of the LDS Church, serving in the Sunset Stake High Council, as Ward Clerk and a member of the Seventy. He served during World War II as a radioman serving aboard the USS Rall DE 304 in the Navy. Robert is survived by his wife, LaVerne of Sunset; two sons, Robert N. (Janice) Young and Steven A. (Patricia) Young, one daughter, Nadean (Jason) Gabbert, all of Sunset, Utah; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mona Groendyke, of Perry, Utah. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, two brothers, one sister, son-in-law and granddaughter. She was born on June 19, 1937 in Ogden, Utah, the daughter Cluy and Dolphine Kelly. Barbara graduated from Ogden High School in 1955. She attended Weber College and Utah State University. During her high school and college years, her friends fondly remembered her as "Kelly". It was during these years that she most enjoyed using her musical talents, as a member of the Ogden High Marching Band she played the clarinet. As an accomplished pianist, she entertained many at musical recitals. Blessed with a good singing voice, she became a member of "The Sextets", a singing group, that performed at many church and social functions. She was married to John Allison in 1957. She later married Ernie Kowall in 1966. She was an employee at Hill Air Force Base for ten years holding several positions; her last position being a secretary of flight testing. She contributed much of her time to volunteer work for several organizations. The Red Cross staff was able to use her secretarial skills and she also participated in many blood drives. Several years ago, she was honored by the Brigham City Community Hospital for her 30 years of continual volunteer service. During that time she was able to assist in many and varied areas of hospital work. For 25 years, she had also been a strong supporter of The Special Olympics Organization. Barbara enjoyed her many travel experiences where she was able to meet and make new friends who were often referred to, by Barbara, as her "newest and dearest best friends". Barbara easily made friends and had many of them who enjoyed her company as much as she enjoyed theirs Barbara is survived by her husband, Ernie, her two sons, Robert Kowall and Bret Alllison, sister, Valene Nielson, brother, Lloyd Kelly, stepdaughters, Kimberley Rankin, Barbara Treschitta and two grandchildren, Matt and Anne Treschitta. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, October 17, at 11:00 a.m. at the Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, Utah. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery following the memorial service. NEDRA L. DAY BRIGHAM CITY- Nedra Lee Day, 79, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2002 in American Fork. She was born April 10, 1923 in Miami, Arizona a daughter of Edwin and Gladys Weston Lee. Nedra married Robert Bruce Day on February 4, 1952 in the Mesa Arizona LDS Temple. Nedra's family was the joy of her life; she loved her son and daughter-in-law and adored her beautiful granddaughters. She and her husband ran the Bookmobile for 25 years. Nedra enjoyed crafts and tole painting, reading books and literature. She had a great sense of humor and had many wonderful friends. Surviving are her son, Robert and daughter-in-law Penny and two granddaughters, brother James Lee, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Bob. Henry was born in Logan, Utah on June 25, 1926 to John Martin and Louisa Wolford Bissegger. He married Joyce May Bronson on September 13, 1948. Henry loved to fish and hunt until his health kept him from it. He also loved his 14 grandchildren and his 21 great-grandchildren. He worked for L. Bloom & Sons for over 50 years and Atlas Steel for over 10 years. Surviving are his wife of 54 years; two daughters, Ellen May (Richard) Whitaker, Honeyville; Elaine (Barry) Carroll, Brigham City; three sons, Roy D. Kelly Dan Lym On October 18, 2002, Kelly Dan Lym returned to his Heavenly Father after a car accident while serving an LDS mission in the San Francisco area. Kelly was born on December 30, 1981, in Bountiful, Utah, to Dan Lym and Mary Ann Cornia. He is the fourth of their five children. Kelly was a very special child from the day he was born. Coming into this world with many serious heart problems, he had the ability to touch all those that he came in contact with throughout his life. Kelly enjoyed 4-H, his horses, ranch life, and being part of the Mountain View High School wrestling team. He enjoyed camping with his family, hunting, and all outdoor activities. Kelly graduated in May 2001 from Mountain View High School. Shortly after graduation Kelly chose to follow his lifelong dream of serving a mission. Kelly was proceeded in death by his fraternal grandfather, Carl R. Lym and his material grandparents, Dale and Edith Cornia. He is survived by his parents of Fort Bridger; two sisters, Brandie (JR) Degraw, Evanston, and Chris Ann (Quinn) Walker, Lonetree; two brothers, Justin (Lindsey) Lym of Fort Bridger and Ken Lym of Fort Bridger, grandmother, Catherine Jean Lym of Evanston; two nephews, Tobby and Kyle DeGraw of Evanston, and one niece, Torri Ann Walker of Lonetree; his uncle and aunt J. and Marsha Lym of Brigham City and cousins Ryan and Arsila Lym, Ilama Lym, Rick and Bethany Lym, Jeremy Lym, Marci Lym, Jenny Lym. George Eugene Jorgensen Tremonton: George Eugene Jorgensen, 89, prominent educator, artist, loving husband, and father died October 16, 2002, of causes incident to age. Born on March 12, 1913, in Price, UT, to George Edgar and Florence Virginia Horsley Jorgensen, the first of eight children. Growing up in a family that fostered music and culture, Eugene developed an early interest in music and art, further inspired by fine Carbon County educators. Eugene developed his talents learning to play the piano, clarinet and saxophone by the time he entered high school. He also excelled in drama and art. In later life, he studied and learned to play the cello and wrote poetry. Eugene studied voice under the Russian opera star, Sidor Belarski, and briefly considered pursuing opera as a career. He graduated from BYU in 1935 with a double major in music and art and later obtained a masters degree in education, with emphasis in school administrative affairs, from Utah State University. On November 18, 1935, he married Helen Childs from Bancroft, ID, in the Salt Lake Temple. They had three sons, Richard Alan, David, and John who preceded him in death. Eugene and Helen opened their home to a foster daughter, Lora Lee Duersch. She was a loving daughter to them and a bright spot and source of strength during the trials that would follow. Eugene's extensive career as an educator included his early years of teaching music and art in Sunnyside and Cedar City, UT, as well as Arimo and Bancroft, ID. From 1945 to 1962 he developed one of the finest A cappella choirs in Utah at Bear River High School. His insistence on settling for nothing short of the best made him a legacy to all of his students. They affectionately referred to him as "Mr. J." Two of his choirs were invited to perform for the Music Educator's National Convention in San Diego and Chicago. Eugene was selected as a western board member-at-large for the MENC from 1953 to 1957. While at Bear River Eugene also taught art and after his retirement exhibited his personal work on three different occasions in the Brigham City Gallery. He was inspired by Yellowstone Park area for many of his paintings. He later served as Principal at Garland Elementary School. He took up flying and received his flying license, under the tutelage of Wayne Larson Sr. and continued by Wayne Larson Jr. At age 85 he flew the plane for the last time. On December 3, 1975, he married Marjorie Oyler in the Ogden Temple. She has been his devoted companion throughout the remainder of his life. Together, they served a mission as supervisors in the Logan Temple Baptistry, and he held numerous church callings. Eugene is survived by his wife Marjorie; his foster daughter, Lora Lee (Leon) Oenes, Denver, CO; step children, Julie (Dean) Udy, Brigham City; Jeri (Darrel) Newman, Salt Lake City; John (Shauna) Oyler, Newport Beach, CA; Janine (Ike) Swan, Kaysville, UT; 17 grandchildren and 20 great grand children; brothers, retired Lt. Col. (Ret.) Richard I. (Evelyn) Jorgensen, Colorado Springs, CO; Cecil Jorgensen, Cedar City, UT; a sister, Dr. Eleanor Jorgensen , Provo, UT. He was born May 1, 1920 in Logan, Utah a son of Rudolph and Vivian May Eliason Wiley. He was reared and educated in Logan. He married Pearl Fisher on Sept. 2, 1950 in Evanston, Wyoming. Rew retired from HAFB with 33 years of service. He served in the Medical Corp. during WWII. He helped in refurbishing the Heritage Theatre in Perry. Rew loved to fish and was always willing to give a helping hand. Surviving are his wife of Brigham City, four children; Glen F. & Patty Wiley, Deer Park, WA., Rew Jr.& Susan Wiley, Willard, Kathryn & Robert Neibert of Sandy, Connie Coonradt, Francis, UT, 34 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, two sisters and a brother. She was born on August 31, 1925 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a daughter of Frank and Ada Swift Mannix. She graduated from Ogden High School. Madeline married Tad Brown in 1942 in Malad, Idaho. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist for 50 years. She enjoyed reading and her family. She loved the Lord and excepted him in 1942. Surviving are her husband, Tad of Mantua; five children, Terry Brown, Ogden; Jerry Brown, California; Rebecca Salmi, Washington; Timothy Brown, Kentucky; Michael Brown, Mantua; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one sister, Evelyn Dayton, Ogden. WALKER BRIGHAM CITY - Our loving wife, beloved mother and grandmother, Beth McCrary Walker, 81, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2002 at the Brigham City Community Hospital. She was born on December 26, 1920 in Portage, Utah, a daughter of Fredrick Austin and Henrietta Kotter McCrary. Beth married Leo Allen Walker on May 23, 1945 in the Logan Temple. She was a member of the Brigham City 8th Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she had served in the Primary, Relief Society, and Young Women s. She also was a visiting teacher. Beth was a licensed day care provider for many years. She also served in the PTA, and the Kindergarten Club, a civic organization. She had a beautiful singing voice and loved music. She enjoyed gardening, reading good books, sewing, and BYU sports. Beth loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and they will miss her greatly. Surviving are her husband, Leo, Brigham City, Utah; five children, Karen (Bob) Hills, Marilee Wilson, both of Sandy, Utah; Teri (Ken) Tuttle, Elk Ridge, Utah; Rick (Ami) Walker, Rexburg, Idaho; Janae (Zane) Hansen, Blackfoot, Idaho; 26 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; one brother, Eugene (LaPreal) McCrary, South Ogden, Utah; one sister, Colleen (Allan Blaine) Clark, Brigham City, Utah. She was preceded in death by one brother, Blaine and one grandson, Brett Allen Wilson. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at the Brigham City 8th Ward Chapel, 139 East 300 North, Brigham City, Utah. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.gilliespetersen.com CLIFTON WILLIAMS BOLIEAU Clifton Williams Bolieau was born in Springfield, MA on May 15, 1902 to Dello Joseph Bolieau and Elizabeth Williams Bolieau. Clif began singing in an Episcopal Church Choir in 1912 and continued to do so almost continuously for the next 88 years. He graduated from Springfield Technical high School and in 1925 from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Civil Engineering. While there he was a member of the Theta Chi fraternity and played on the ice hockey and football teams. He later did graduate work at NYU and the Industrial College of the Armed Forces. He was a licensed Professional Engineer in Tennessee and New York. Soon after graduation from college he and a friend, Buck Beehler, toured Europe on bicycles, covering over 2000 miles. He married Ivy Fisk in June 1930. They had one son, Christopher, in 1933. Ivy died in March 1970 and Clif married Mary Lee Brown in June 1970. Mary Lee died in August 2000. Clif had three grandchildren and four great grandchildren, a step-son and step-grandchildren and great grandchildren. Clif worked for a consulting engineering company in New York City until he accepted a position with the Tennessee Valley Authority in 1942, where he remained until retiring in 1967. At TVA he worked in the purification of water for all applications including potable water, boiler feed and condenser cooling water. At the time of retirement he was the Head Mechanical Engineer in the Design Division of TVA and had worked on the design of hydroelectric power dams, coal fired generating plants and nuclear power stations. He held the rank of Commander in the Public Health Services Reserves. He was a Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers, a Diplomat of the American Academy of Sanitary Engineers and a Patroon of the RPI Alumni Association. Following retirement and after a few years as a consultant, he became active in travel, art (painting), sailing and the repair and restoration of antique clocks. Until suffering a heart attack in September 2000, he was an active member of the St. John s Cathedral choir (Knoxville), the RPI Alumni Association, the ASCE, the Knoxville Technical Society, the Music Study Club, the Tuesday Morning Music Club, the U.S. Power Squadron and the Concord Yacht Club. He moved to Brigham City, UT in March 2001 and resided at the Peachtree Assisted Living facility until his death on October 25, 2002. The Service for the Dead and Dying was held at his bedside at the time of his death, and a family memorial service was held at his son s home on October 26. Both services were conducted by the Reverend Brian Winter of St. Michael s Episcopal Church. His body was cremated, and his ashes will be interred in the Garden Columbarium of St. John s Episcopal Cathedral in Knoxville, Tennessee. LeRoy (Smokey) Hunsaker Mesa, AZ--LeRoy Elmo(Smokey)Hunsaker, 74, formerly of Elwood, died peacefully in his sleep at home on Oct. 19, 2002. Smokey suffered a stroke on Oct. 16,1981, requiring life-saving surgery. He continually surpassed doctors expectations, especially after he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and diabetes. His life was prolonged due to the loving care he received from his wife, Marilyn,and daughter, LaMar. Smokey was born May 15, 1928 in Elwood, Utah to Martin Leroy and Theola Christina (Dustin) Hunsaker. He received his education at Elwood Elementary School and Bear River High School. On May 24, 1946 he joined the Navy, serving aboard the U.S.S. Missouri. He received his honorable discharge on Mar. 23, 1948. While working for a trucking company, he met Mary Lou Whittington in Red Lodge, Montana. They were married Nov. 13, 1948 in Elko, NV. To this union five children were born. In 1959 the family moved to Cody, where he was employed by Ralston Plumbing and Heating. He eventually started his own backhoe business, S & H Digging. His backhoe work took him throughout the northern Wyoming area. In 1973 Smokey, Mary and their son, David, moved to Apache Junction, AZ. Smokey and Mary were later divorced. Smokey married Marilyn Helen Carl on June 27, 1977 in Apache Junction. They celebrated their 25th anniversary this summer. Smokey embraced her children and became their father. He was a life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Prior to his stroke, he served as commander of the American Legion post in Tempe, AZ. Smokey was a self-made man, who taught himself to use a backhoe. He loved people and would do anything for his family and friends. He was also compassionate to strangers, even motorists along the road. While living in Cody, he happened on an accident and saved a young man from a burning car. Smokey loved his whole family very much. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lilly and Leola; brother, Mondell; son, Charles Bradley and step-son, James Pack. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, children Diana (James) Myers of Lovell, WY; Victoria (Ted) Neff of Las Vegas, NV; Susan (Lee) Wilder of Yuma, AZ, and David Hunsaker of Scotsdale, AZ; step-children Margee (Ernest) Korrell of Mesa, AZ; David (Anna) Pack of Mesa, AZ; Michael (Colleen) Pack of Colorado Springs, CO; and LaMar (Gary) Stanley of Mesa, AZ; a grandson, Jamie Myers of Brigham City; a granddaughter, Angela (Steve) Blanchard formerly of Brigham City now of Coralville, Iowa and a total of 21 other grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service was held Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2002 at the Tempe Mortuary in Tempe, AZ. A graveside burial service will be held on his birthday, May 15, 2003, in Elwood, Utah. CALLIE K. JOHNSON PERRY Callie Kaye Bennett Johnson, 38, passed away October 26, 2002 at` her home. She was born August 3, 1964 in Tremonton, Utah a daughter of Cal and Marla Smedley Bennett. Callie married David Rodney Johnson on April 4, 1981 in Roy, Utah they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. She was actively involved in the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints as a Primary worker, compassionate service leader, and various other Relief Society callings. She was very involved in the scouting program. She worked for the Veterans Administration and was very patriotic and dedicated to assisting those who served their country. Surviving are her husband; David, children; David Shane Johnson, Adam Cal Johnson, Ryan Terry Johnson all of Perry; father Cal Bennett of Layton, mother Marla Averrett of Roy; 3 sisters Robin butte of Roy, Shantell Checketts of Layton, and Denise Whiteley of roy; 3 brothers Marlin Mosher of Roy, Jason Bennett of Garland, Chad Bennett of Layton; 3 step sisters Teresa Bateman of Riverdale, Chris Hoffman of Layton, Cherrie Logan of Syracuse.
