Send Condolences to the family at www.myers-mortuary.com Arnel Butch Wayne Moyes BRIGHAM CITY Arnel Butch Wayne Moyes, 82, Well I finally made it. I have fulfilled his earthly duties and moved on February 22, 2003. I have to tell you, I had 82 good years. I was surprised when I was told last week that I had Alzheimer s but I was relieved because it explained a lot of things. He was born to George & Amanda Olsen Moyes. My 5 brothers and 1 sister and I grew up in Brigham City. We had such a great time and had lots of fun. In 1939 Nina John and I eloped. Boy did I hear from her mom! But we had 62 good years, 4 great children, Dallas (died April 2000), Robert, Nancy (Paul) Snow, and Marilyn (Elwood) Wagner, a whole bunch of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. And we all loved each other. I spent most of my life in the Service Station. We, my sons and I , had three gas stations in Brigham City. I loved that job. Loved meeting people. I then went to work at Box Elder High School and again I just loved the job and all those kids. I really can t complain about my life, it wasn t all easy, but most of it was really fun. Did I mention my sheep? I just loved taking care of my sheep and animals. For about 20 years, I went to the reenactment of the Golden Spike. Got all dressed up in my old time clothes and drove to Promontory every day. It was a ball. Why I even met Johnny Cash there. The last 10 years we lived in Roy. It was an adventure to move after living in Brigham City all those years, but we enjoyed it, until Nina died in May 2000. My children and grandchildren were very kind to me my last years, and made sure I was always taken care of, called daily and taken for a little ride each day. I loved those rides, even the short ones. I must end for now, I see there is an adventure in front of me, friends to greet and family to reunite with. I love you all, and will see you again. My funeral services will be Wednesday, Feb 26 at 11:00 a.m. at Myers Mortuary 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City. If you can my viewing will be Tuesday Feb. 25 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday 10:00 to 10:45 p.m. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery. Please do one favor for me, instead of flowers, please send donations to the Primary Children s Hospital in Salt Lake City. I know they always need money to help those cute little kids.
