PORTER WILLARD Lanny Devero Porter, 54, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2003. He was born June 22, 1948 in Preston, Idaho a son of George Riley and LaVerna Carter Wanner Porter. Lanny was the youngest of 15 children. He served in the Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Lanny married JoAnn D. Nehring November 14, 1990 in Willard, UT. He worked for the Army D.R.M.O. at Hillfield for 33 years and then retired. Lanny loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. Surviving are his wife; JoAnn, children; Cynthia Porter, Sarah Brust, Amanda Porter, Kenneth Porter, stepchildren; Gerald Hunsaker, Gregory Hunsaker, Clifford Hunsaker, Michael Hunsaker, ten grandchildren, brothers and sisters; Coradene (Cueto) Anderson, Tharol (Mae) Porter, Floyd Porter, Rey (Karen) Porter, Ivalue Johnson, Mark (Barbara) Porter, Saramae (Henry) Jensen, Georgia (Richard) Baker, Joen (Kent) May, Seles (Frank) Price, Rhoud (Susan) Porter, Marlin (Jonie) Porter. He was born on July 6, 1972 in Fort Benning, Georgia, a son of Teddy R. and Kathleen Dooley Seel. He served eight years in the United States Army, serving in the United States, Germany, Bosnia, and Albania working as a heavy wheel mechanic. Jason married Erika Babin on September 9, 1999 in Bamberg, Germany. He liked to do gardening, reading and playing chess. Surviving are his wife, Erika; one step son, Jonathan both of Bamburg, Germany; his parents, Ted & Kathleen of Cairo, Egypt; one brother, Michael Cache Seel of Alaska; four sisters, Kersti Parks and Claire Seel both of Phoenix, Arizona; Mishala (Dave) English of Flagstaff, Arizona; Lindsy Seel of Cairo, Egypt; grandparents, H.C. Arnold Alfred Overturf Arnold Alfred Overturf, Lt. Col. Ret., age 83, died on May 23, 2003. The former Brigham City resident was born in Benazette, PA, on August 24, 1919. We hold him dearly in our hearts. He was loved by many and is survived by his wife Phyllis, five children and 12 grandchildren. ALBERT LEROY ROY LEWIS BEAR RIVER CITY Albert LeRoy Roy Lewis. 96, died on Saturday June 7, 2003, at the Brigham City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of causes incident to age. He was born in Bear River City on November 14, 1906, a son of Oliver and Viola Maria Mathis Lewis. He attended school in Bear River City. He lived a short time in Salmon, Idaho, and then returned to Bear River City where he spent the rest of his life. On September 13, 1937, he married Phylis Patterson. He was a dairy farmer until his retirement. He enjoyed having a garden and for many years he had many beautiful flowers in his yard. They did some traveling until her death on April 1, 1983. Surviving are his daughter, Shauna Lawrence of Bear River City, step granddaughters, Debbie Lawrence and Dina Clavell of Brigham City, and step grandson, Gary (Krissie) Lawrence of Roy. Step great grandchildren are Sami, Billie, and Joey Clavell of Brigham City; Kayla, Kasey, Ricki, Tristin and Dominic Lawrence of Roy. Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, son-in-law, William A. Lawrence, and the following brothers and sisters: Maude (California), two baby brothers, Linda (Garland), Isabelle (Utah), Cinderella (Orem), Delos (Utah), Win and Al-twins (Washington), Jennie (Murray) and Mae (Salt Lake). He was born on August 9, 1952 in Salvatierra, Mexico, a son of Jose and Livia Arvallo Villafuerte. Jorge worked as a chef in California. He is survived by one son and one daughter, George Villafuerte of Fielding, Utah and Bernice Zamudio of Brigham City and three grandchildren. Interment was in the Brigham City Cemetery Nedra Kay Arbon Garland: Nedra Kay Arbon 48, of Garland, Utah, died Tuesday, June 10, 2003, at her home in Garland after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was born on January 15, 1955, in Brigham City, Utah, the daughter of C. Lyle and Kay Arbon of Snowville, Utah. She was the mother of three children, Jeromy James Wardle (Wendy), Merisa Kay Burn (Ryan) and Bradley Richard Wardle (Brooke). She was the best friend and sister of LuAnn Johnson (Brenton) and one brother who preceded her in death, Dennis Lyle Arbon. Her family was the love of her life. She adored her children and five grandchildren, Kaeman, Kaslyn, Trysten, Dylan and Brooklynn. She was the Safety Director for L. W. Miller Transportation Inc. in Logan, Utah, for 11 years and was voted Safety Director of the year for the State of Utah. She had a heart of gold, and loved to help other people. Her main concern was always to make sure everyone else was all right. She never complained about anything and whenever she was asked how she felt, she would always say "I m OK, how are you?" We will always remember our mom, daughter, aunt, grandma and sister for her love of life, her amazing ability to "fix" anything and the unconditional love she showed to us all. She was a tremendous example of courage, strength and undying faith. She will be greatly missed. We will always have you in our hearts and know you are never far from us. Gerry was born December 16, 1953, in Brigham City, Utah to Dale N. and Barbara Jensen Nelson. Gerry graduated from Box Elder High School and later married Annette Hansen. They were later divorced. Gerry worked in construction for many years doing steel work. He loved fishing, golfing, camping and coin collecting, but most of all he loved his 2 sons. ANDERSON BRIGHAM CITY Lynn Stanley Anderson, 56, died Saturday, June 14, 2003, surrounded by his family, after a valiant battle with a brain tumor. Lynn was born May 26, 1947 to Stanley John and Marion Campbell Anderson in Salt Lake City, UT. He moved to Brigham City in 1958. He served a mission in the L.D.S. Southwest British Mission. He married Sandra Hartman. They were later divorced. He married Pamela Barker Molgard in 1990. Lynn worked for IBM for thirty years and received numerous awards of recognition and achievement. He retired in1999 and his summers were then spent at the family cabin in Island Park and working at Yellowstone. He is survived by his wife, Pamela; his five children, Gwyn (Larry) Silver, New York; Kristine (Scott) Adams, Roy; Cheri (Douglas) Morgan, Orem; Stan, Hyrum; Russell (Teal), Ogden; stepchildren, Amy (Kendall) Bird, Spanish Fork; Dawn (Spencer) Spencer, Eagle Mountain; Malone (Allyson) Molgard, Brigham; JaNell (Chris) Potter, Perry; and Wendy (Eric) Jurgens, American Fork; parents, Stan and Marion Anderson, Honeyville; brothers and sisters; Ellen (Pat) Travis, Cascade, Montana; Richard (Marie) Anderson, American Fork; Jim Anderson, Shelby, Montana; and Carolyn (Cortney) Henrie, Brigham City. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren. He was born on August 3, 1914 the son of Noah James John and Esther Elmeda Hall. Floyd is survived by his wife, Retha; daughters; Earlene Hall; Shandra (Bill) Walker, Ronda (Darwin) Smith; Danielle (Clare) Lythgoe; also by brothers; Deward, Wynn, Loren, Denton and sisters; Gwenne, Rena, Elma, Rilla and Florene, along with eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Fayella John and Betty Wilson and brother Sylvera John. Floyd was active in the LDS Church and was sealed to his eternal companion in the Logan Temple on June 11, 1986. He served honorably in the US Army during World War II. Floyd was a long time resident of Perry, Utah and had many interests such as woodcarving, rock-hounding and reading. He enjoyed his family immensely and loved to chat with anyone who visited. Albert was born March 10, 1916 in Corinne, Utah the son of William A. and Roxie Ann Wright Fillmore. He married Joyce Cutler on October 6, 1937 in Brigham City. Albert farmed all of his life and he retired from Thiokol after 22 years. He was a member of the River Ward, and served with his wife on an LDS Mission in Washington DC. Surviving are his children; Joan (George) Kelly, Brigham City; Stephen (Carolyn) Fillmore, Smithfield; Harold (Terry) Fillmore, Cedar City; Barbara (Dave) Washburn, Fresno, CA; Susan (John) Flinders, Murray; William (Linda) Fillmore, Perry; 25 grandchildren and 59 great-grandchildren. She was born on January 12, 1923 in Plymouth, Utah, a daughter of James William and Annie Rose Steed. Beth married William Bill Leroy Petersen on April 24, 1946 in Brigham City, Utah. He preceded her in death on September 18, 1998. She is survived by her two sons, Michael (Linda) Petersen and Kim Petersen both of Penrose, Utah; one daughter-in-law, Barbara Petersen of Ogden; 11 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, one brother, Ursel Steed of Downey, Idaho; five sisters, Lavell Rudd of Plymouth, Utah; Zina Call, Janet Stoddard; and Flora Latimer all of Pocatello, Idaho; Cleone Petersen of Penrose. She was preceded in death by one son, Robert Leroy Petersen, one grandson, Chad Petersen and two brothers, Edward and Carl J Steed. Theodore "Ted" Richardson Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2003, in the arms of his loving wife. He was born July 16, 1920 in Brigham City, Utah to Levi Walter and Mary Lovina Pead Richardson. He married Mildred Jean Loveland, September 3, 1949, later solomnized in the Logan Temple. Ted graduated from Box Elder High School and served as a Naval Aviator piloting a Torpedo Bomber off of the aircraft carrier USS Kasaan Bay during WWII. He retired in 1974 from Hill Air Force Base. Ted was a hunting guide and house manager at the Millionaires Hunting Club. He loved golfing, fishing, hunting and camping with his family and friends. He especially loved dancing with his wife "Millie". They enjoyed many winters in Indio, California and St. George, Utah. In 1993 they moved from Brigham City to St. George and later Ivins, Utah, and most recently Clinton, Utah. Ted was a member of the LDS church, the American Legion, and FOE. He is survived by his wife Mildred Jean; daughter Patsy (David E.) Shelton, son Jerry L. (Janice) Richardson, 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; brother Claude (Rita) Richardson; sisters Norma (Ross) Wheatley, Lorraine Kocherhans, Kathleen (Sanford) Argyle, Ruth (Kenneth) Pinegar; sisters-in-law Fayola Richardson and Marie Richardson. Preceded in death by 2 brothers, Wayne and Elwood Richardson, and brother-in-law Ivan Kocherhans. Thompson "Crash" died June 24, 2003, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born September 13, 1984, in Logan, Utah, to Rodney K. and Tammy D. Thompson. Clayton was a kind, loving person, with a big tender heart and great big smile. He loved being with his friends, hunting, fishing, and four wheeling or just cruisin around. He loved animals, especially his dog Katie. He loved his Chevy Blazer. He was a true blue Chevy fan. He could drive anything he could get his hands on. He was always tinkering around with his Blazer. Clayton started dating Laci Jo Allred on July 4, 2002, and from that day the two of them were inseparable. They were always together laughing and teasing each other or wrestling around. Clayton loved her so much, he would always say, "Mom, Laci s so cute isn t she?" Clayton was a member of the Tremonton 7th Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Clayton is survived by his parents; his brothers, Lathan Rod and Jordan D. and his sister, Talisa Diane; his future sister-in-law, Chelsie Anderson, and the love of his life Laci Jo Allred. Also his grandparents, Gale and Colleen Howard, Sheryl (Andy) and Trudie Anderson and Lyman and Dorothy Thompson, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
