CLAUSEN WILLARD - Ellen Helene Rasmussen Clausen of Willard returned home to her Heavenly Father on October 2, 2004, at the home of her daughter, surrounded by her family. Born July 7, 1916, in Copenhagen, Denmark, to Kristian and Maren Hansen Rasmussen, she grew up during the aftermath of World War I. She learned to fend for herself at an early age and developed an indomitable spirit, which served her and her family well during the occupation of World War II and all her life. She married Frithiof Clausen July 27, 1939, in Copenhagen. Introduced to the restored gospel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 1945, Ellen and Frithiof were baptized June 3, 1945. Three years later they gave up all they had to immigrate to the United States with their four-year-old daughter Ingelise so that they could be sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. A year later their son William was born. Ellen loved her service in both the Relief Society and Primary organizations and was known for her great generosity, her love of children, her homemaking skills and beautiful singing voice. Ellen was preceded in death by her parents and her three sisters Lilli, Grethe, and Astrid. Despite many health problems she was a wonderful and supportive wife, parent and grandmother of eight, great grandmother of soon to be 18. She is survived by her husband; daughter, Ingelise Gibby (David); son, William Clausen; her beloved grandchildren: Heidi Jacobsen (Mark), Michael Gibby (Melanie), Amy Webb (Lance), Matthew Gibby (Marie), Rebecca-Elin Gibby, Benjamin Gibby (Julianne), Andrew Gibby (Tami), Sara Toponce (Brandon), and brother-in-law, Oskar Andersen, Salt Lake City. Horton, 63, passed away October 3, 2004, at LDS Hospital due to complications from Chrons disease. He was born November 1, 1940, to William G. and Pauline Altstatt Horton in Seminole, OK. He grew up with two brothers and one sister, Walter (Loureen) Horton, WA; Paul (Sheri) Horton, CO and Marilyn (Fred) Wolsterman, AK. He married Virginia LaBranch on August 10, 1963, in Rapid City, S.D. They had three daughters: Charlotte (Ross) Graba, MN; Holly (Karl) Pernich, North Ogden, UT; and Heather (Steve) Rogerson, GA. Nolan worked in training devices at Hill Air Force Base and Rivit Mile in Rapid City, S.D. He was a member of the Free Mountain Trappers. He enjoyed making leather clothing, fishing, hunting, gardening and working with his hands. He was a true outdoorsman. He was involved in Girl Scouts for 10 years when his daughters were younger. He is survived by his wife, three daughters, his brother and sister, six granddaughters and two grandsons. He is also survived by his two cats, "Boo Kitty" and "Pumpkin". He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Paul. All Nolan's friends are invited to come in traditional Mountain man attire for all services. LUNDAY OGDEN/WILLARD - James Russell Lunday, 75, passed away peacefully with Michelle Gomez and LuAnn Garcia by his side on Saturday, October 2, 2004, at McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah. He was born on October 28, 1928, in Los Angeles, California, a son of Russell Edward and Alice Valine Zundel Lunday. His parents passed away when he was young, and so he went to live with his grandparents, Jacob Alvirus (Vie) and Emma Jane Dial Zundel. Jim then moved down to Chula Vista, California to live with his aunt, Hazel Lunday Harris, where he graduated from San Diego High School. He was honorably discharged from the US Navy. Jim married Rhoda Delores (Dixie Lee) Connor in Brigham City, Utah, on June 22, 1949. They later divorced. He then married Donna Lofthouse on October 19, 1953, in Brigham City, Utah. They were later divorced. Later in his life, Jim meet a very special lady, Michelle Gomez and together they have been companions ever since. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Jim worked for the railroad and then worked at Thiokol in communications. He retired from Thiokol in 1986. He loved to go fishing, hunting and trapping. Surviving are his companion, Michelle Gomez, Ogden; six children: Randy Maw, Atlanta, Georgia; Angela K. Strickland, Bothell, Washington; Linda A. (Fred) Ward; Russel Lunday; Tim (Susann) Lunday; Tony (Shauna) Lunday, all of Willard; 14 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, his aunt Hazel, one brother, Kay Zundel and one son-in-law, Allan Strickland. KNUDSON BRIGHAM CITY - Owen D. Knudson, 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 29, 2004, in Brigham City, Utah. He was born on March 12, 1914, in Brigham City, Utah, a son of Jesse A. and Ethel Kelly Knudson. Owen married Dorothy Davis on December 3, 1937, in the Logan LDS Temple. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and local businessman in sales and real estate. Owen enjoyed traveling, hunting and he took great pride in his yard. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy, of Brigham City; one son, Raymond (Karin) Knudson of Salt Lake City; two daughters, Dixie Reeves of Brigham City; Linda (Dean) Reeder of Salt Lake City; eight grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Ron and Curtis Knudson and three sisters: Dena Lamb, Barbara Olsen, Nina Ward. SHERRIE M. MOORE BRIGHAM CITY - Sherrie Michelle Moore, 40, passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2004, at the Brigham City Hospital. She was born on August 25, 1964, in Twin Falls, Idaho, a daughter of Leonard and Betty Peeka. Sherrie married Rick Vanderpool in Preston, Idaho. They were later divorced. She then married Charles Moore in Shoshone, Wyoming. They were later divorced. Sherrie did not practice religion, but she did believe in a higher power. She liked to quilt and loved to watch movies. Surviving are two sons, Peter Vanderpool of Perry and Cory David Moore. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Craig and one sister, Kaylynn. It was Sherrie's wish to be cremated. EVA HAWS BRIGHAM CITY - Eva Uvene Spencer Haws, 86, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away unexpectedly, October 6, 2004. Born December 9, 1917, in Escalante, Utah, to Thomas and Polly Ann Deuel Spencer. Married John Claud (J.C.) Haws, October 1, 1938, in Escalante, Utah, solemnized two weeks later in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Married 66 years to her loving companion J.C. Haws before he preceded her in death, August 3, 2004. Survivors include her one son, John Claud Jr. (Joy), Bear River City; three daughters: Mrs. Lyle (Polly Anna) Southam, Vernal, Utah, currently serving a mission in New Jersey; Mrs. Victor (Uvene) Manwaring, Buhl, ID; Mrs. John (JaNell) Riley, Sandy, UT; 21 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cedar City, Provo, Vernal and Brigham City during all her life. Eva has served in many Church positions: Chorister, Den Mother, Young Women's Leader, Relief Society President, Primary President, Organist, and Visiting Teacher. Also involved in many civic and community activities. Eva and her loving companion served as Ordinance Workers in the Ogden Temple and served an eighteen-month mission in Nauvoo Illinois in 1983-84. Eva had many talents that she loved to share with others. One of her greatest talents was her skill as a seamstress, which was a great blessing to her family. Nothing was ever too demanding where her family was concerned. She also loved to crochet, knit, reupholster furniture, do ceramics, play the piano, garden, make candy and loved going for walks with her companion. Eva was able to accomplish her dream of writing a history of her Spencer Heritage and she lovingly shared this precious gift with all the extended members of her family. Her tender gentle persuasion and exemplary nature have always been urging her children on to better things. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren have all made her proud, as they became a credit to her and the community. Though grandma will be greatly missed, her example will live on in the hearts of her family. GREENFIELD BRIGHAM CITY - Darrell J. Greenfield, 60, died from cancer on October 9, 2004. I was born in Hardin, Montana, on June 3, 1944, son of David James and Alice (Dorr) Greenfield. I grew up in Basin, Wyoming. I earned a Bachelor of Science from University of the State of New York and a CPIM from Weber State University, Ogden, Utah. I married Lauris Marie Watson in 1966; we had three children: Jennifer Monteon, Mira Loma, CA; Heather (Donny) Gunn, Riverdale, UT; Brian J. Greenfield, Las Cruses, NM. This marriage ended in a divorce. I then married Teri Lynn Canter on June 5, 1987, at Jenny Lake, Jackson, WY, surrounded by nature. Teri had three children from her first marriage, Traci (Mike) Walsh, Idaho; Jason (Emily) Ketsdever, Brigham City, UT and Amber (Paul) Hodgkin, also of Brigham City, UT. They are also my children. We have 17 grandchildren. I am a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Most of my callings were serving with the youth "the characters" of the church. I served four years as a Navy Corpsman, am a Veteran of Vietnam War and served 20 years in the Army Reserve. I retired as a Master Sergeant (E-8). I worked at Thiokol for 26 years. I love hiking the trails of Northern Utah and I spent countless days out at the Bear River Bird Refuge. Funeral services will be held Friday at Mt. She was born on January 21, 1966, to D. Frank and Marquretta Whitaker Tolman. Mindy's energetic love of life touched the hearts of everyone she met. She was raised in Honeyville, Utah. CARLOS BRIGHAM CITY - Craig M Carlos, loving husband, father, son, brother, 45, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, October 6, 2004, after a long bout with diabetes. Craig was born on March 14, 1959, in Ogden, Utah, a son of Richard and Barbara Forbes Carlos. He married Kelly Garside and from that union they had two children, Charli and Chase. Craig and Kelly were later divorced. Craig then married Julie Ann Winger Jones on September 26, 1986, in Willard, Utah. Together, Craig and Julie have three children, Kaci Marie, CJ and Kayden. Craig started his apprenticeship in the painting profession with his Uncle Bill who he admired and respected for his work ethic. He later worked with Hadley Brothers Painting in Ogden, where he took a medical retirement. Craig was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and belonged to the Brigham City First Ward. He loved the outdoors, where he liked to camp, fish and hunt with his children. His favorite places were Ogden Canyon and Flaming Gorge. Surviving are his wife, Julie, Brigham City; five children: Charli (Desi) Salas, Ogden; Chase Carlos McFarland, Ogden; Kaci Marie Carlos, Tremonton; CJ and Kayden Carlos, Brigham City; one granddaughter, Jayde Salas; his mother, Barbara Carlos, Harrisville; two brothers and two sisters: Todd Carlos, Harrisville; Tracy Carlos, Ogden; Holly (Mark) Skeen, St. George; Sheila Carlos, Farr West; one grandmother, Dora Forbes, East Layton. ANDERSEN BRIGHAM CITY Lona Jones Andersen, 86, surrounded by her family passed away at her daughter's home in Draper, Utah on Thursday, October 7, 2004, following an extended illness. She was born on July 14, 1918, in the town of Malad, Idaho, a daughter of Harvey and Catherine Jones. She attended Malad City Schools and graduated from Malad High School in 1937. In 1940 she was married to Raymond L. Andersen, their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin's Management School in 1974, where she was secretary of her graduating class. She was a Branch Manger at Defense Depot of Ogden for the Federal Employees Credit Union when she retired. As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lona served in many capacities. She served as Teacher, Coordinator in the Sunday School, and Secretary in different organizations, and President of the Relief Society. She was a very loving, kind and generous woman and was admired and respected by all who knew her. She was always happy and could always find the good in everyone and everything. She will be missed by all who knew her and will remain in our thoughts and prayers forever. Lona was preceded in death by her husband, one brother and two sisters. Send condolences to the family at www.myers-mortuary.com JOHN "RICHARD" WILSON Beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather SALT LAKE CITY- John "Richard" Wilson, 69, returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 9, 2004. He was born February 11, 1935, in Park City, Utah, a son of Jack William Wilson and Dorothy (Langford) Wilson. He graduated from Park City High in 1953. Richard was inducted into the Army on October 14, 1954, where he served in the Korean Conflict, where he served as a radio operator. He received an honorable discharge on August 3, 1956. Richard married Mary Catherine Perry on April 26, 1968, at home in Willard, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on April 26, 1975. He served in different auxiliaries in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, mainly as a teacher and was a scout leader. Richard worked as a Commercial Artist for 20th Century Sign Company. He loved photography, in his younger days he was an avid snow skier, and he didn't mind being a known as a crusty curmudgeon. Surviving are his wife, Mary Catherine, Salt Lake City; three children: David Alan (Intisar) Wilson, Palos Verdes Estate, CA; Dana (Mike) O Neal, Georgetown, TX; Suzette Wilson Prevo, Sandy, UT; five grandchildren, Pierre Basmaji, Eli Wilson, Shauna O'Neal, Riley O Neal and Felicia Prevo. Also surviving are his mother, Dorothy Wilson, one sister, Barbara Sanchez and one brother, David James Wilson. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Wilson. He was born August 23, 1936, in Brigham City, Utah to Lorrin P. and Anna A. Tingey. He attended schools in Brigham City graduating from Box Elder High School in 1954. He married Louise Young on February 16, 1959, in Ely, NV. They were sealed for time and all eternity on June 12, 1999, in the Boise, ID Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ben and Louise lived in Bear River City, operating a dairy farm for 21 years. In 1981 they moved to Juntura, Oregon, where they ranched, and ran the Branding Iron Caf‚. He worked for the Oregon State Highway Department, retiring in 2001. He was a member of the Crane LDS Branch in Crane, OR; and served as a temple ordinance worker in the Boise Idaho Temple. He is survived by his wife Louise; sisters, Kayla (Grant) Nelson, Mantua; Maren (Gary) Dixon, Brigham City; brother, Steven (Ruth) Tingey, Grace, ID; children: Darren (Vikki) Tingey; Susan (Brad) Jensen; Matt (Sandy) Tingey; Chester (Jennifer) Tingey, all of Bear River City; Jennifer (Kelly) Summers, Tremonton; Jerilin Tingey Nunu, Salt Lake; Jeremy (Sheila) Tingey, Brigham; Lauren Tingey, Eugene, OR, and 23 grandchildren. MORGAN BRIGHAM CITY Russell "Rusty" Kenneth Morgan Jr., 60, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2004. Rusty was born July 8, 1944, in Sioux Falls, SD, to Russell Kenneth Morgan Sr. and Orpha Odeila Rohrer. He was raised by his grandparents, Margaret and Walter Rohrer (deceased). Rusty served in the Navy from 1961 to 1964. In 1965 he married Vonna Johnson of Logan, UT. Rusty enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Rusty will be remembered most for his interactions with the public through his business, Rusty's. He was currently working in North Carolina for Whitaker Construction of Brigham City. Rusty is survived by his wife, Vonna J. She was born on April 5, 1915, in Brigham City, Utah, a daughter of Oscar Severin Lee and Lettie Rose Lee. She graduated from Box Elder High School and received a degree from Weber College. She married Lloyd B. Hust on June 1, 1938, in the Salt Lake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Temple. She taught school at Park Valley. She was an avid gardener, a water color artist, and a talented quilter. She was the absolute best pie maker in the world, and her cinnamon rolls had no rivals. She was active in the LDS Church and had a variety of callings in the Brigham City First Ward as well as serving as Box Elder Stake Primary President for a number of years. She is survived by five children: Jean Hust, Salt Lake City; Ken Hust, Salt Lake City; Stephen Hust (Irmi), Vienna Austria; Dianne Hust McCullock (Robert), American Fork; David Hust, Salt Lake City; five granddaughters: Shannon, Erin Katie, Carly Rose, Lettie Elizabeth and Allison Keeley McCullock; two brothers, Kent Lee, Brigham City and Scott Lee, St. George. Preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd B. Hust; a son, Joel Roger Hust and a daughter-in-law, Gail Hust (David); a brother, Ralph Lee and a sister, Ruth Lee Humphrey. She was born on July 1, 1916, in Corinne, Utah, a daughter of Roy Earl and Bertha Gerard Holley. Lucille married Francis Godfrey Roche on January 11,1935. He preceded her in death on April 20, 1970. She then married Ross Holst and he preceded her in death. Lucille was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed crocheting, tatting and going to Wendover and loved to watch the Jazz. Surviving are five children: Dallas, Brigham City; William (Kathy), Ogden; Mel (Bonnie), Roy; Roland (Connie), Smithfield; Rochelle Jensen, Brigham City; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; one brother and two sisters, Roy Holley, Helen Hansen and Blanche Thorsted. She had numerous stepchildren and their families. She was preceded in death by two sons and their wives, Earl and Pat Roche; Reynold and Mary Roche, one daughter-in-law, Joanie, one brother, Floyd Holley. Lendell was born on March 30, 1917, a son of Gustave Link and Lula Mabel Chase Link. He married Beverly Consuella Benson on August 4, 1944, in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were later sealed in the Logan Temple on August 6, 1956. Lendell served in the Army Air Corp during World War II, and retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1969. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Sons of the Utah Pioneers. Lendell was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served as Branch President, Stake Executive Secretary, Ward Clerk and served as a temple worker for several years. His latest calling was serving with his wife as a greeter at their ward. Surviving are his wife, Beverly, Brigham City; children: Jeffrey Len (Sharon) Link, Riverside, CA; Janet Link (Paul) Madsen, Kent, WA, and Renee Link (Max) Woolsey, Brigham City; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. MCDANIEL BRIGHAM CITY - Otis Bowden McDaniel, kind and gentle man, 88, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 18, 2004, at the Brigham City Hospital of pneumonia. He was born on June 19, 1916, in Dundee, Texas, a son of James A. and Ruby Grace Bowden McDaniel. Otis married Doris Jean Hawkins on December 23, 1939, in Sickles, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on April 30, 2000. After Otis and Doris were married they moved to Electra, Texas, where he was a welder for many years. They moved to Brigham City in 1962 and began work with Thiokol and retired in 1982. Otis was a member of the First Baptist Church in Brigham City, Utah, where he served as a deacon for many years. He liked photography, painting, and traveling in their trailer all over the western United States. Surviving are his daughter, Carol (Troy) Begeman, Mantua; Linda Youree, Panhandle, Texas; Kenny (MarvaLe) McDaniel, Washington D.C.; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren. RONALD TAN GERMER BRIGHAM CITY Tan's Heavenly Father lovingly called him home in the early morning hours of Saturday, October 16, 2004. Tan was born on July 10, 1967, in Brigham City, Utah, the beloved son of Ronald K. and Bonnie S. Germer. He passed away at his home in Brigham City after a lingering illness. Tan was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He went to school in Utah, Oregon, Nevada, and graduated from high school in 1985 in Williston, North Dakota. He attended Weber State College in Ogden, Utah. Tan was a loving and caring son, brother and uncle and he loved all of his friends and family. Tan leaves behind his wife, Kimi; his sister, Shannon Sanchez; his brother-in-law, Robert Sanchez; two nephews, Skyler and Tagger Sanchez and his parents Ronald and Bonnie Germer. He also loved his fraternity brothers (Beta Theta Pi) and greatly enjoyed their company. Tan was a fantastic story teller and always had a way to make all of us laugh. He had such a tender heart for a guy as big as he was and he will be missed by his family in a way that goes beyond words. Tan, we will miss you until we see you again. JAY MARKHAM HALL Jay Markham Hall was born December 23, 1917, in Maeser, (Vernal) Utah, to Leona Ashby and Thomas Edwin Hall. Jay passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2004. Jay married his sweetheart, Beth Swenson, on Dec. 20, 1945, in the Logan LDS Temple. They shared 706 wonderful months together. He was employed by Utah State University as an Agricultural Extension Agent. His work took him to Shiraz, Iran, Wayne County, Millard County, Box Elder County and Carbon County. Upon his retirement in 1981 Beth and Jay moved to Payson, UT. They served two 18 month missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, one to St. Louis, MO and Boston, MA. They were both ordinance workers in the Provo Temple for over 20 years. He is preceded in death by his parents and a stepmother, two brothers, sisters, two grandsons, and one great granddaughter. FLINDERS BRIGHAM CITY Willard "Flip" Manning Flinders, 91, passed away of natural causes on October 20, 2004, in his retirement hometown of Brigham City, Utah. Willard was born in Logan, Utah, to Clarence and Effie Flinders on March 22, 1913. He married the love of his life, Lois Jane Petersen, on May 24, 1935, in Ogden, Utah. Willard and Lois had three sons that survived them both, Willard Jay Flinders of Flagstaff, Arizona; Robert Bruce Flinders of Prescott, Arizona; and Charles Allen Flinders of Brigham City, Utah. Also surviving him are six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one half sister, Barbara Skidmore of Clearfield, Utah. Willard worked for Barns Construction Company from 1942 to 1974. He was a Time Keeper/ Purchasing Agent, starting in Ogden, Utah, and relocating to Southern California in 1944. Willard retired in 1974, and moved back to his beloved Utah in 1976. Willard worshiped his wife Lois, and loved his garden and home in Brigham City. He thoroughly enjoyed his many retirement years. He was born May 17, 1925, in Wellsville, Utah, to George T. and Elizabeth Simpson Shaw Darley. He married Renee Seeholzer, November 17, 1945, their vows were solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple, May 19, 1965. She passed away September 1988. He then married Enola McDougal, June 5, 2002, they were later divorced in 2004. Calvin served two months in the Army and received an honorable discharge. Calvin started hauling coal when he was 20 years of age. He started hauling coal for the family then it turned into a business that has lasted for 59 years. He was the first to haul coal to the valley. He was also in the fencing business post and poles. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Surviving are his two daughters, Kathleen Parkinson and Audrey Estes; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Calvin was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John and Leo, and his wife Renee. Filna May Booth Crowther was born on August 6, 1916, in Bridge, Idaho, to John Reader Booth and R. Matilda Christensen. She had two sisters (Eda and Mildred) and one brother (Celdon), all deceased. Filna moved to Brigham City in 1928 where she has lived ever since. She worked as a clerk in J.C. Penney's for 14 years. She met her eternal sweetheart, Lyle, and was married on October 12, 1937. Filna and Lyle solemnized their marriage in the Logan Temple on September 26, 1958. They had three girls, a blonde, Karen L. Busenbark; a brunette, Lyla Ann Hawes, and a redhead, Colleen Jensen. BRIGHAM CITY - Stanley was reunited with his sweetheart Harriette on Friday, October 29, 2004, in Brigham City, Utah. He was born on July 25, 1916, in Hay Springs, Nebraska, a son of Joseph F. and Mae Strotheide Prokop. Stanley served in the United States Navy as Chief Petty Officer during World War II. Stanley married Harriette Halpin on January, 1955 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She preceded him in death on November 13, 2001. Stanley was a jeweler in Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska throughout his life. He owned Wyoming Trophy and Engraving in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Stan retired on July 1, 1979. He enjoyed woodworking, and was active in the Cheyenne Rifle and Pistol Club. Stanley was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Cheyenne. Surviving are his three sons: Stanley J. (Maria) Prokop, Jr., San Diego, California; Mark S. (Doris) Prokop, White Rock, New Mexico; Craig L. (Sandee) Prokop, Corinne, Utah; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Layton, 81, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2004, at the Pioneer Care Center. Norm was born on December 2, 1922, in Layton, Utah, a son of David E. and Mabel I. Robbins Layton. He married Geniel Frost on April 1, 1952, in Ely, Nevada. Norm served his country in WWII in the Army. He worked for Thiokol as a Machinist and Millwright. Norm was a member of the Brigham City Tenth Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Norm provided the magical touch that makes the Meals on Wheels program work. He delivered much more than a hot meal to the citizens for 10 years. He started a county wide recycling program to help fund the Meals on Wheels. Norm was always willing to do "whatever it took " to go the extra mile to help others. He had a great love for the outdoors and creatures of all kinds. He was born to James J. Hackleman and Mauna Ames Hackleman on December 10, 1953, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Brent attended school in Brigham City and graduated from Box Elder High School. He married Julia Marline Myers on June 16, 1978, in the Ogden L.D.S. Temple. They had one son, Jason. Brent worked at the Internal Revenue Service for 28 years. Brent developed many strong relationships and was a wonderful friend to the many people he came in contact with. He enjoyed being involved with Special Olympics, especially working with his son Jason. He developed many wonderful friendships through working in Special Olympics. He loved attending football and basketball games with his son and friends. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. Brent was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he was a High Priest. He held many church positions including Stake Missionary. He is survived by his wife, Julia; one son, Jason, both of Pleasant View; one brother, James K. Irene was born on March 4, 1951, in Afton, Wyoming, a daughter of Alvin and Barbara Corsi. Irene loved life and was an inspiration to all she met. She was able to follow her dreams and her family and friends were an important part of her life. She was a member of the Lakeview Ward. She kept her faith even through her trying times. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Geraldine, nephew, Ricky, nieces Shontel and Adrienne. Surviving are her sisters: DiAnn Connick, Lynn Woodruff, Stephanie (Ernie) Emerine, Lisa (Roger) Miller and Trisha (Paul) Seymour; brothers, Alvin (Gina) Corsi and Mike O'Brien; 30 nieces and nephews, 19 great nieces and nephews. Irene was truly loved and will be greatly missed. Funeral services were held on Monday, November 1, at Myers Mortuary Chapel, Brigham City. Interment in the Brigham City Cemetery.
