HALL BRIGHAM CITY- Mildred Andersen Hall, quietly passed away Thursday, September 2, 2004, at the Autumn Living Center in Brigham City, Utah. Mildred Andersen was born on January 25, 1909, in Brigham City, Utah, a daughter of Levi Severine and Millie Reeder Andersen. She had been a life long resident of Brigham City and attended Lincoln Elementary, Box Elder Junior High, and graduated from Box Elder High School. She received a teaching degree from Utah State Agricultural College in Logan, Utah. She taught school in Promontory, Utah, for one year and then took a teaching position in Portage, Utah, where she met, fell in love with and married, James Arnold Hall on June 2, 1931, in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized on February 19, 1932, in the Logan LDS Temple. Her husband preceded her in death on May 27, 1983, after 51 years of marriage. After the family was raised she did much substitute teaching and also worked for the Box Elder School District in the school lunch program. Throughout her life Mildred had been an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had held numerous and varied positions in all of the Auxiliary Organizations. She was a Temple Ordinance worker in the Ogden Utah Temple with her husband for several years. She had been a lifetime member of the Brigham City LDS Third Ward. Mildred was active as a PTA parent and supporter, member of the Daughter of the Utah Pioneer's Fort Brigham Camp and also past member of the Brigham City Civic Improvement Club. Mildred loved nature, and traveling by land, sea, or air and took advantage of many of those opportunities in her life. She never had a driver's license or drove a car, but loved to walk. Her wide range of interests was topped by love of family, church and service to others. She kept busy doing a variety of handiwork such as: crocheting, tatting, embroidery, quilting and hardanger. Her love of music and reading a good book was untold. She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn (Warren) Ferguson, Bountiful, UT; Mary Ann (Roland) Holman, Brigham City, UT; two son, Max Arnold (Claudette) Hall, Brigham City, UT; David Andersen (Mavis) Hall, Bountiful, UT; one daughter-in-law, Marlene B. Hall, Brigham City, UT; 22 grandchildren; 57 great grandchildren; one great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Robert Evan Hall; brother, Richard Joseph Andersen; one granddaughter and one great grandson. Mildred was privileged to have the following sisters and brothers still living, with whom she has spent many pleasant occasions. MARY GRANT HACKING BRIGHAM CITY Mary Grant Hacking, 88, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2004, in Brigham City. She was born June 25, 1916, in Lovell, Wyoming, a daughter of Joseph Crumb Grant and Mary Jane Parking. Mary married George Robert Hacking on June 25, 1937, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions, including Relief Society President, Temple Worker, and served a full-time mission in the Boston, Massachusetts Mission. She enjoyed sewing, genealogy, and most of all being with family. Surviving are children: Margaret (Jack) Pounder, Broome, Australia; Grant (Annette) Hacking, Puerto Rico; David (Marilee) Hacking, Brigham City, Utah; Maryelen (David) Brown, Pleasant Valley, New York; 20 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and two sisters, Alice Sheffield, Phoenix, Arizona and Venus Croft, El Monte, California. She was preceded in death, by her husband, two sons, and a daughter, a grandson, a brother and three sisters. Send condolences to the family at www.myers-mortuary.com HOWARD LEE CAPENER RIVERSIDE - Howard Lee Capener, 93, of Riverside, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2004, in Tremonton. He was born on April 1, 1911, in Riverside, the son of Alfred Albert Rigby Capener and Myrtle Cleveland. He married Lola Hunsaker on June 17, 1936, in the Logan LDS Temple. Lola passed away on March 1, 2004. Howard was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was Bishop of the Belmont Ward when the Belmont Chapel was built. He also served as Stake Clerk, Stake Mission President and President of the 187th Quorum of Seventies. He worked at the Logan Temple. He served on the District Scout Committee and was the PTA President at the Bear River High School. He is survived by his children: Gordon L. Capener, Neil (LuAnn) Capener and Lynn (Sheila) Capener, all of Riverside, Eldon (Jean) Capener of Riverdale, LaPriel (Cyril) Welch of Brigham City, and Betty (David) Rich of Syracuse; 25 grandchildren and 51 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, six brothers including - Russell and Nolan, and sisters - Lillian Tingey and Margaret Coombs. ENDRESS BRIGHAM CITY Aaron Benjamin Paul Endress, 89 passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2004. Aaron was born on July 2, 1915, in Marine City, St. Clair, Michigan, a son of Paul and Wallburga Marie Endress. He married Ruth Walker on December 10, 1954, in Elko, Nevada. Ruth passed away on March 24, 2001. Aaron was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a High Priest. Aaron loved to play the harmonica and was a true handyman/ mechanic. He worked as a mechanic at a service station, carpenter at Thiokol, with Max Morgan at the tire shop and retired from Brigham City Corporation. Send condolences to the family at www.myers-mortuary.com VERNA VERNELL STONE PETERSEN BRIGHAM CITY - Verna Vernell Stone Petersen. A sweet loving mother is now reunited with her eternal companion. She was born on December 29, 1921, in Newton, Utah. The fourth child of nine born to Betsy (Bessie) Josephine Goodsell and George William Stone. She died on Friday, September 10, 2004, in Brigham City, Utah. Verna was raised in Newton, where she went to school and graduated from the 8th grade. She met our dad, Carl William Petersen, on June 29, 1942. They were married 19 days later on July 17, 1942, in Preston, Idaho. They were later sealed in the Logan Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He preceded her in death on February 8, 1977. They were the parents of seven children, four of whom survive her, two sons, Marion Petersen of Draper, Utah and Kenny Petersen of Mendon, Utah; two daughters, Karen Petersen of Brigham City, Utah and Donna (Brad) Hatch of Corinne, Utah; 12 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers and one sister: Gaylen Stone, Logan, Utah; Denzil (Deece) Stone, Newton, Utah; Genevie Arredondo of Salt Lake City, Utah; Leon Stone of Logan, Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three children: Howard, the twins, Rosanna Petersen and Rose Marie Evans; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one brother and three sisters. When her children got older she worked as a housekeeper. She last worked at Pioneer Care Center in Brigham City from 1977 to 1987 until she retired. VERDA JEPPSEN BRIGHAM CITY Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Verda Bird Wyatt Jeppsen, 89, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2004, at the Autumn Living Center in Brigham City, Utah. Verda was born on July 22, 1915, in Wellsville, Utah, a daughter of Charles Leavitt Wyatt and Therese Lalliss Bird. She was raised in Cache Valley and would take the train in Wellsville to attend school in Hyrum. She graduated from South Cache High School. On November 14, 1935, she married her sweetheart, Virgil LeRoy Jeppsen, in the Salt Lake Temple. Her husband preceded her in death on August 20, 1980, after 44 years of marriage. Early in her marriage she worked at Baron Woolen Mills and at a coat factory on Brigham City's Main Street. Verda and her family moved to Martinez, California, where she worked for the W.T. Grand Department Store, for 20 years. Throughout her life, Verda had been an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held numerous and varied positions in the Auxiliary Organizations. Verda loved to embroider and read, but her real joy was spending time with her family and friends. Verda is survived by her son, Reid (Rosemary) Jeppsen, Brigham City, UT; her daughter, Marilyn (Steve) Lazzarini, Prescott, AZ; six grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; brothers, Blaine Wyatt, Sunnyside, WA, and Ralph (Loretta) Wyatt, Mantua, UT; sister Donna Kerr, Wellsville, UT; sister-in-law, Thelma Wyatt, Outlook, WA. FORSGREN BRIGHAM CITY Virgil Gene Forsgren, 67, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2004, at Logan Regional Hospital after a battle with cancer. Virgil was born on November 5, 1936, in Garland, UT, a son of Leondius and Emma Horspool Forsgren. He married Evelyn Penman on June 22, 1959, in Ogden, UT. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on June 11, 1964. Virgil served his country in the Marines for four years, where he received a Good Conduct Metal. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Virgil worked at Hill Field for 29 years, and then he worked for Radcam. He enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing, and he was well known for his service to other people. Surviving are his wife, Evelyn, Brigham City, UT; children: Joyce F. Send condolences to the family at www.myers-mortuary.com ROBERT RICHARD DOWTY August 26, 1923 - September 2, 2004 Robert Richard Dowty, 81, passed away at this home in Durango, CO., on September 2, 2004, after a year long battle with cancer. He was born to Eugene Aloise and Ruth Petzold Dowty in San Francisco, California. His family moved around Northern California in his youth and he lived in Redwood City, Belden, and Salinas graduating from Santa Maria High School in 1941. He served in the US Army during World War II, and spent most of his tour of duty in the engineering corps on Guadal Canal in the Pacific. Upon completing his military service, he attended The Pasadena Playhouse and pursued a career as an actor. He became a member of Musical Arts Theater in Pasadena, performing in many memorable light operatic musicals in the late 1940s, and it was in this group where he met his late wife Carmen. They were married in 1950 and eventually settled in Pasadena, California. They celebrated 50 years together before her death in 2000. They became parents to a son, Eric in 1955, and to a daughter, Erin in 1960. Robert owned an antique business during the 1960s in East Pasadena, and later an antique clock and barometer repair shop for a number of years. He loved trains and spent many summer vacations with his family volunteering on the White Mountain Scenic Railroad in McNary Arizona. In 1977 he was offered a position at O'Connor Engineering in Costa Mesa, CA working on a project to build two full sized replicas of the Jupiter and 119 locomotives for Golden Spike National Historic Site in Utah. Upon completion of the project, he applied with and was hired by the National Park Service at Golden Spike. He and his family accompanied the locomotives to Utah in 1979, where he became a well known local celebrity performing an interpretive program at the site called "Tales of the Rails" and reprising his role in an educational video of the same name. In 1997 he was the recipient of the Freeman Tilden Interpretive Award for the Rocky Mountain Region. He authored a book for the Southwest Parks & Monuments Association entitled: Rebirth of the Jupiter and 119: Building the Replica Locomotives at Golden Spike. In 1950 he was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, and served faithfully in the Christian Ministry for the rest of his life. He attended the Ignacio, Colorado Congregation. The most important things in his life were his service to God, his family and his "dream job" at Golden Spike. In 1999 he retired and he, Carmen and Eric moved to Durango, Colorado, to enjoy a different kind of railroading on the Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. When he passed away, he was still employed part time in the Air Brake Department at the DNSRR. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Carmen. He is survived by his son Eric (Karen) Dowty, Durango, his daughter Erin (Jeffrey) Marshall, two grandsons, Robert and Sayre Marshall, all of Harrah, OK; a brother Eugene Dowty (Rosalie), San Luis Obispo, CA; a sister Ruth Brown, Altadena, CA; and many, many nieces and nephews. He was a loving husband and father, a great showman, and a man of tremendous integrity, and he will be greatly missed. All who loved him look forward to the time that Jesus Christ promised at John 5:28,29 when "all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out . . . to a resurrection of life . . ., and when "God will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning, nor outcry nor pain be any more, the former things have passed away." (Revelation 21:4) The family wishes to thank Hospice and Home Health, Management and fellow employees at DNSRR and especially all those of our Christian Brotherhood who provided encouragement and help during this difficult time. REX PERRY BARKER BRIGHAM CITY - Rex Perry Barker, age 84, passed away in Brigham City, Utah, on Tuesday, September 7, 2004. He was born on November 22, 1919, on the family farm in East Bear River City, Utah to Orson Lorenzo and Eliza Melinda Merrell Barker. He attended school at Bear River City schools and graduated from Box Elder High School in Brigham City in 1938. Rex married his sweetheart of 63 years, Grace Olsen in the Logan Temple in 1941. Together they raised three sons: Gary (deceased), and twins Bruce and Brent. Rex worked as a farmer in Corinne until 1966 when the family moved to Brigham City. He also worked at Merrell Lumber and Box Elder School District. Rex was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving as Ward Clerk, Elders Quorum President, High Priest Group Leader and Home Teacher, etc. He and his wife were in charge of the Ninth Ward Soup Kitchen for four years. Rex and family enjoyed camping, traveling, fishing and spending time together. Rex leaves behind a heritage of three sons, ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren who loved him dearly. He is survived by his wife, Grace of Brigham City, Utah; twin sons, Bruce (Debra) Barker, Cedar City, Utah, and Brent (Corinne) Barker of Rexburg, Idaho; Leslie "Cookie" Barker, a daughter-in-law of Layton, Utah, and a special niece Janet (Bill) Heumann of Sandy, Utah. He is also survived by two brothers, DeVerl Barker of Bear River City, and Roland Barker of Perry, Utah. Rex was preceded in death by his parents, son Gary O. Barker, a twin brother Ray, two other brothers and one sister. JAMES VICTOR SMITH DECATUR, GEORGIA - Dr. James Victor Smith, age 81, of Decatur, Georgia went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 15, 2004. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held various positions of leadership in the Church over the years. Dr. Smith served in the World Health Organization of the United States and in the Public Health Service as the Assistant Director of the Communicable Disease Center in Atlanta, Georgia. He was an Eagle Scout who later served his country in World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star for heroic service in the Battle of the Bulge. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and eternal companion, Joyce Anna Grover Smith, his wife of 61 years, and his six children and their spouses: Sharon and Lee Miller of Payson, UT; Vaughn and Becky Smith of Kaysville, UT; Julie and Louis Guerra of Roswell, GA., Michael and Julie Smith of Alpharetta, GA; Cindy and Gary Smith of Norcross, GA; Jamie and Lane Robinson of Sandy, Utah; and his 25 grand children and nine great grand children. MADALYNNE COOK HARDING WILLARD - Our loving, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Madalynne Cook Harding, passed away Friday, September 17, 2004, at her home in Willard, Utah, after a long battle with ovarian cancer. She was born December 8, 1922, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Lyma Winn Beutler and Alexander Wilson Duvall. Her parents divorced, and she changed her name to Cook when her mother married Merlin Norton Cook, in 1931. Because of the divorce she was blessed to know the love of four loving parents and eight siblings. Madalynne was raised in Willard and graduated from Box Elder High School. During her four years in high school she was involved in many school activities including the Home Economics Club, of which she was the President in her senior year; the Thespian Club, through which she participated in several school plays and school assembly programs. She was also active in the Pep Club. After high school, she was accepted into the Nursing Program at Weber State College, in connection with the Thomas D. Dee Memorial Hospital. During World War II she joined the Army Cadet Nurse Corps and completed her training in 1944 at the Bushnell Military Hospital in Brigham City. On January 7, 1944, Madalynne married her neighbor and best friend, Stillman Jacob Harding, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, for time and all eternity. Over the years, she was the mother, foster mother, and care giver for many, including Stillman's father and her parents, several children on the LDS Church Indian Placement program, several foster children in the State Foster Care program, and several foreign exchange students from Mexico and South America. Madalynne was instrumental, with the help of Governor J. Bracken Lee, in drafting and getting passed legislation to provide funding for the education of children with physical and mental handicaps. She helped establish the North Salt Lake Opportunity Center, which was the first school in Utah designed for the education of children with multiple handicaps. She taught handicrafts to the women incarcerated in the Utah State Prison, and to the youth at the Juvenile Detention Center in Salt Lake City. In 1961, she received the Beta Sigma Phi Award for community service for her work with handicapped children. For the last 20 years, before going on their mission, she taught ceramics and porcelain doll making. In 1998, she was honored as one of 25 Outstanding Mothers in Utah by Governor Mike Leavitt. All of her life she was very active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her service included Relief Society President, counselor, and teacher; instructor and advisor in the Young Women's MIA; and member of the Stake boards in the Relief Society and Primary. She also helped write and produce several outstanding road shows. Her last church assignment was a full-time mission with her husband in the Washington Tacoma Mission. Their mission was shortened to 15 months by the onset of cancer. Madalynne is survived by her husband; her children: Jaelynne (Kent) Hathaway, West Jordan; Richard, Hallettsvillle, Texas; Marilyn (Jim) Stephens, Centerville; Sheralyn (Pete) Barger, Willard; Karalyn (Lynn) Dummer, Clearfield; Lynae Burke, West Valley City; Robert (Lisa) Harding, Idaho Falls, Idaho; four sisters: Merlene (Oakley) Moore, Joyce (Hal) Stoddard, Marjorie (Jim) Clark, Ruth (Rudy) Wolfe, and a brother, George Cook; also 26 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Lynette, four granddaughters, one sister and two brothers. HILLS BRIGHAM CITY Ruby Leota Dawson Hills, 82, slipped away peacefully on Sunday, September 26, 2004, to the other side to meet her eternal companion after completing her journey here on earth. She was born the fifth child to Annie Pearl Bennett and Joseph Russell Dawson on January 3, 1922, in Gibson, Idaho. She met her eternal sweetheart, Robert (Bob) A. Hills at Idaho State University and they married on September 15, 1941, in the Salt Lake Temple. Leota was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints holding many positions such as Relief Society President, Stake Relief Society Board Member and one of her favorite callings, Ward Librarian. She was a faithful Visiting Teacher for over 60 years. She was a member of the DUP and served on the County Board for several years. She was very proud of her pioneer heritage. Leota lived in Tooele before moving to Brigham City in 1956 where she and her husband Bob bought People's Drug and changed the name to Bob's Drug. She worked side by side with him running the drug store for many years. They loved serving the community. She loved being with her family, visits to Idaho, beautiful sunsets, a good thunderstorm and all of nature. She loved music and sang in several groups throughout her life including Hills of Home. She loved to read and was a talented poet. Surviving are a son, Robert (Bob) and Karen Hills, Sandy, UT; and a daughter, Ruby and Wade Larkin, Willard, UT; 10 grandchildren and 14 1 2 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband who died May 4, 1987; her youngest son, Larry R. Hills died December 12, 1997; her parents and siblings. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 1, at 11 a.m. at the Brigham City Seventh Ward Chapel, 523 North 100 West, Brigham City, UT. Friends may call on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary and on Friday from 10 to 10:40 a.m. at the Church. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery. Send condolences to the family at www.myers-mortuary.com JOYCE ADNEY REYNOLDS Joyce Adney Reynolds was a creative leader who sought excellence in everything she did. A long time resident of Metairie, and now New Orleans, she died Sunday of heart failure. She was 83. Born in Tremonton, Utah, in 1920, Joyce grew up on a ranch raising champion sheep and cattle. Her drive for excellence started early as a 4H Club leader and winner of many show prizes. She graduated with a BS in child development from Utah State University in 1943 and then received her Masters Degree in early childhood education from the University of Michigan. She was a Graduate Assistant at the Merrill-Palmer School in Detroit, and Director of the Brookside Nursery School at the Cranbrook School in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. She met her husband, Adrien, at a USO party for departing Marines in 1943. They married in 1946. "She was a brilliant lady," said her husband. "She was knowledgeable about everything from art to politics. She had a curious mind and loved to learn. She was adventurous and made each of our 17 moves exciting. She was a wonderful partner for 58 years." Over the years, Mrs. Reynolds was an active leader in Girl Scouts and may clubs including the General Federation of Women's Clubs in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Chargrin Falls and Mansfield, Ohio. She moved to Metairie in 1992. She quickly became active in the Metairie Ridge Garden Club, Tulane University Women's Association and the New Orleans Newcomers and East Jefferson Newcomers Club, of which she served as president. "I learned my most important leadership lessons from my mother," said her daughter Charlotte Reynolds Otto, an executive with Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati, Ohio. "She not only told me to strive to be the best, she modeled it in everything she did." In addition to her husband, Adrien, and daughter Charlotte, survivors include her sister Betty Gaynard of Visalia, California and her many, many friends. LOIS FRANCES ROHDE LUNDBERG THOMPSON TREMONTON - Lois Frances Rohde Lundberg Thompson, 85, of Tremonton, passed away on Friday, September 24, 2004, at the Country Lane Assisted Living Center in Brigham City. She was born on May 29, 1919, in Tremonton, the daughter of Henry Christian and Mayme Frances Fredrickson Rohde. She married Ferron Albert Lundberg on November 23, 1938, in Logan, Utah. Ferron passed away on June 27, 1978. She married E. Grant Thompson on June 21, 1985, in Logan, Utah. Grant passed away on February 10, 1998. Lois was reared and educated in Tremonton and attended Weber State College. She served many people in the Tremonton and Brigham City areas throughout her nursing career. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in various church callings, including a temple ordinance worker. She is survived by four children: Ronald (Susan) Lundberg of Glendale, AZ; Julia (Doug) Grover and Dixie (Monty) Elgan all of Brigham City, and Jennie Lundberg of Salt Lake City; stepchildren: Kay (Morris) Huffman, Paul (Debra) Thompson, Glen (Ronda) Thompson, Deanne (John) McMahan, Janeen (Marcus) Fox, and Dale (Joyce) Thompson; two brothers, Keith (Cynthia) Rohde, and Ray (Darlene) Rohde; two sisters, Beverly (Joe) Smith, June (Boyd) Mason; seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, and two brothers. Condolences may be extended at www.rogersandtaylor.com IMA L. WATTS BRIGHAM CITY Ima Lee Gray Watts passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2004, at her home at the age of 79. She was born February 16, 1925 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. The only child of Edgar O. Gray and Ima Gregson Gray. In February 1945 she joined the Women's Army Corp., where she worked as a clerk of the 71st WAC Hospital Company. While enlisted, she met an airplane mechanic named Ellis Watts. They were married in San Antonio, Texas on December 13, 1945. They both received honorable discharges from Military Service in December of 1945 and moved to Gary, Indiana. Together they had one daughter, Donna Lee. In 1962 they moved to Montpelier, Idaho. And a year later moved to Brigham City, UT where they lived together until Ellis passed away on February 13, 1994. She remained living in their home and was kept company by her "Baby" dog, and her wonderful and caring friend, Dean and his dog "Sam". Ima worked at the Intermountain Indian school as a counselor and housemother, helping many Native American youth for 12 years. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, cooking and loved to read. She was very well educated, honest, and had a great sense of humor. She will always be remembered for her "firecracker" personality and the wonderful stories she always shared. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Green Steward and Donna's husband L.D. Two grandchildren, Heather (Terry) Wells, Willard; and Heath (Kristi) Green, Brigham City; and four great-grandchildren, Sharlene and Richard Wells; and Treavor and Tai Green. She is also survived by her special friend, Dean Castle, Brigham City. The family would like to thank the entire staff of Alpine Home Health Care and Hospice for their skilled and loving care of Ima and for patiently teaching us. Also the Doctor's and staff at Kootenai Hospital in Coeur d'Alene, ID, for their thorough care while she was away from home. Thanks to the staff of the Med Star flight team that brought her home to us, and the Brigham City Ambulance for their considerate care in transporting her. Kathy was born on March 6, 1956, in Brigham City, Utah, a daughter of David Delon and Donna Mae Harmon Deakin. She graduated from Box Elder High School and received her degree in special education from Utah State University. Kathy married Dennis Robert Wilkinson on July 11, 1992, at Sherwood Hills. Kathy was preceded in death by her father, David D. Deakin, sister Donna Maria Deakin and her grandparents. Surviving are her husband, Dennis, Northridge, CA; mother, Donna Deakin, Brigham City, UT; brother, Michael D. (Betty) Deakin, Perry, UT; sister, Kristy D. (Curtis) Kaminska, Honeyville, UT; nieces and nephews, Jeff, Josh and Jessica Deakin, Clint, Colt, Tawny and Chelsea Kaminska. Kathy's request was to have Graveside services. Service will be held at the Brigham City Cemetery, 300 East 300 South, on Friday, October 1, at 1:30 p.m. in case of inclement weather the services will be at Myers Mortuary Chapel.
