Helen was born on Sept. 13, 1912, to Farrell and Luella Ames Johnson in Logan, Utah. After graduating from USAC in 1934, she taught speech and English at Logan Junior High. She married Thomas A. Budge of Logan in the Logan LDS Temple on June 2, 1936. They were married for 67 years. Helen taught Relief Society for many years. She had a great interest in literature and was a well-known talent for giving book reviews. Above all, she had great love for, and was greatly loved by, her husband and family. She made her home a pleasant place to be for her husband, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; and her sons, Tom Jr. and Paul. She is survived by her daughter, Arlene Price (Stephen) of Logan; and her daughters-in-law, Marin Budge of Salt Lake City and Amy Budge of Alaska. She has six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services will be held at noon on Friday at the Logan Hillcrest 2nd Ward, 875 N. 1500 East. Golding PROVIDENCE, Utah -- Edwin Ross Golding, 51, died unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005. He was born Feb. 27, 1953, in Logan, Utah, the son of Sebron Ross and Joy Peterson Golding and the first of four children. Ed graduated from Logan High School in 1971. In high school he played football and was a member of the band. He also ran track. He held the record for the 880-yard race for many, many years. During those years at school he met his beautiful wife, Kristine Wood. He married Kristine Wood on April 14, 1972, in the Logan LDS Temple. He attended Utah State University for a year. In 1981, Ed became a USDA meat inspector, working at EA Miller's. This past year he commuted to Salt Lake for his job. Ed was very active in the LDS Church. He happily served as a Primary teacher, in the Sunday School presidency and in the nursery. He served as a financial clerk until he returned home to our Heavenly Father. He loved that calling very much. He also supported three kids during their service as missionaries for the LDS Church. Ed enjoyed various activities, which included playing basketball with the family. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and horseback riding with his family and friends. Ed's favorite activity was to play with his children. He enjoyed playing with his grandchildren as well. Many times he would be in an "epic battle" with his grandson, which usually ended with Wyatt the winner and Ed laughing on the floor. He even saved a "little Diet Pepsi" for his granddaughter Hannah to enjoy. He is survived by his wife, Kristine Wood Golding of Providence; his two sons, Edwin Travis (Leah) Golding of Smithfield, Utah, and Bryan Ross Golding of Providence; and his two daughters, KarrieAnna (Casey) McClung of Providence and Suzie Kristine (John) Womack of Hurricane, Utah. He is also survived by his mother, Joy Peterson Golding of Logan; two brothers, Jay (Sheila) Golding of West Jordan, Utah, and Don (Cherryl) Golding of Montpelier, Idaho; and one sister, SaRene (Scott) Brooks of Morgan, Utah. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, LaRue Wood of Logan; two grandkids, Wyatt Golding and Hannah Womack; and one grandson on the way, Garrett Golding, coming in April. He was preceded in death by Sebron Ross Golding, father; and Denzel Walton Wood, father-in-law. The viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 3, at Allen-Cranney Mortuary, 420 E. 1800 North, North Logan. Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, Feb. 4, at the Providence 8th Ward church building, 155 N. 100 East in Providence. Graveside services immediately following the funeral services at the Providence Cemetery. Luana Amussen England KAYSVILLE -- Luana Amussen England, 83, passed away on Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, at her daughter's home of natural causes. She was born in Laie-Oahu, Hawaii, in 1921, daughter of Heber Smith Amussen and Ruby Howell Wolf of Logan. Educated in Logan District and attended Utah State University. Served an LDS mission to Hawaii. She was at Pearl Harbor when it was bombed and finished serving her mission in California. Married Earl William England on Oct. 24, 1944. Active LDS Church member. Survived by her husband; five children, Phyllis Allred, Paul England, Cristy Davis, DeVoe England and Holly Ellen England; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 3, at the LDS Ward Chapel, 33 S. Moss Hill Drive (1500 South) Bountiful, Utah. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main, and from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the church, prior to services. Interment, Logan City Cemetery. Zelma Mickelson Bright Zelma Mickelson Bright, 93, passed away Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005, at the Terrace Grove Assisted Living Center in Logan, Utah, of causes incident to age. Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, Feb. 3, at the Preston 3rd Ward LDS chapel, 155 N. 200 West, Preston, Idaho, with Bishop David Noyes conducting. Friends and family may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Webb Funeral Home, 109 E. Oneida, Preston, and from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. Thursday at the church. Interment will be in the Preston City Cemetery.
