He was born on July 10, 1991, in Turlock, Calif., the son of Segismundo and Andrea Galvan Villapudua. He was a quiet leader who respected and loved all he encountered. A young man with a humble spirit who loved God and brightened the room he entered. Mundito was noticed not by what he said, but by what he did. He excelled in school and sports, enjoyed cooking, teaching his mother finger and arm locks, wrestling and golfing with his father and brother, and was always a prefect gentleman, opening doors for his sister, Stephanie. He is survived by his parents, Segismundo and Andrea Villapudua; sister, Stephanie; brother, Esteban; grandparents, Juan Villapudua and Ramon and Carmen Galvan; and 19 uncles and aunts (three of which are Andres, Aileen and Krystal Villapudua). Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 11, at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center St., Logan. Additional services will be in Turlock, Calif., with burial in the Turlock Memorial Park. Rula K. Cushman Rula passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Feb. 7, 2005, in Laguna Woods, Calif. She was born July 16, 1920, in Hyrum, Utah, to Nelton and Gladys Smith. Rula attended school in Hyrum. Rula married Joseph Jolicoeur and they had three children, Anna May, Joe and Janice. They moved to New York, then to California. They were later divorced. She married Chuck Waite, and after many years, that marriage also ended in divorce. Rula started working for Kasier Permanente Hospital. At that time she met and married George Keyburn. They had many wonderful years together until George passed away in 1978. Rula continued to work for Kasier until her retirement in 1982 after 30 years. Throughout her life Rula was always coming back to Utah to visit family. She met J.D. Cushman on one of her many visits, and they married in 1986. Rula and J.D. spent many years splitting their time between Utah and California. They were so happy they had the best of both worlds. J.D. passed away in 2000; things were never the same without him. Without J.D., Rula stayed in California to be close to her daughters. Rula treasured her family and friends; to her, keeping them close was very important. We will all greatly miss her loving heart and wonderful sense of humor. She is survived by her children, Anna May and Gary Wolff, Joe and Marilyn Jolicoeur and Janice and Don McMeekin; her stepchildren, Rod and Lori Cushman, Kathy and Kevin Reves and Dorothy and Richard Atchley; many grand, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Homer, Bob and Ariel; and sisters, Ivalou and Joan. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D.; two grandchildren; and brothers, Jack, Asell and Stratford. A viewing is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 11, at Allen Hall Mortuary, Logan, Utah, and again at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 12, prior to the funeral. Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 12. Burial will be in the Hyrum Cemetery. Ethelyn Orvin Hodges Wheeler Our loving mother and grandmother, Ethelyn Orvin Hodges Wheeler, passed away Monday, Feb. 7, 2005, at the Ogden Regional Hospital. She was born May 22, 1908, in Laketown, Utah, a daughter of Jeremiah R. Orvin and Bessie Satterthwaite. She was married to Golden Hodges on Dec. 9, 1925; they were later divorced. She married Douglas Wheeler on Oct. 5, 1962. He preceded her in death on May 6, 1998. She was a member of the LDS Church and served as a visiting teacher for many years. She retired from the Sego and Pet Milk Co. after 26 years of service. She loved and cared for her family and served them in many unselfish ways. She loved to cook and no one ever went away hungry when Grandma was around. She enjoyed working in her beautiful flower and vegetable garden until she suffered a stroke in 1995. She won't be remembered for any great deeds in this life, but for the numerous little acts of kindness and sharing that she gave every day of her life. Our sweet little "mom" and her quick wit will be missed by all. Surviving are her four children, Virginia (Bob) Harris of Nibley, Richard (Bonnie) Hodges of Sandy, Utah, Jere Dale (Donna Fae) Hodges of Syracuse, Utah, and Joann (Dell) Taylor of South Ogden, Utah; stepchildren, Myrna Tarbett of Newton, Linda (George) Riddle of Roy, Utah, and Randell (Gwen) Wheeler of Lewiston; 11 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
