Mary Elizabeth Carr
     Emma (Beth) Elizabeth Carr, 88, a resident of Dallesport, died at a local
hospital on Monday, April 21, 2003.
She was born July 22, 1914, in Daggett, Utah, the oldest of seven children to
Frank and Cora (Hayden) Worthen.
She married Otis Elmer Carr on Nov. 11, 1931, in Sunnyside, Wash.
     They lived in Sunnyside until moving to Barstow, Calif. In the early
1940's, they moved to McMinnville then to Klickitat in 1942 and to Glenwood in
1944. They settled in Dallesport in 1968.
     She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in The Dalles and enjoyed
homemaking, her family and quilting.
She is survived by her four children, Coral Bills, Santa Rosa, Calif.; Calvin
Carr, Crown Point, N.Y.; Jerry Carr and Preston Carr, Dallesport; 11
grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, numerous great-great-grandchildren, her
brother Warren Worthen, Magna, Utah and her sister Ladene Grizwold, Garden
Grove, Calif.
     At her request, there will be no services held.
Private cremation will be held at The Dalles Win-quatt Crematory with Smith
Callaway Chapel in care of arrangements.
     Memorials may be made to the Oregon Heart Association, 1425 NE Irving
#100, Portland, OR 97232-4201.
