His father took part in the Indian wars in Sanpete and Circle valley and was a prominent, man in the early settling of Sanpete and. Piute. D. T. was educated in the district schools and attended the B. Y. Academy two years, graduating in the class of '94. He came to Castle Dale in September, 1895, and has been engaged as a teacher since his arrival here. Is now building a fine residence in town, and farming about sixty acres of land. He is one of the counsellors in the Y. M. M. I. A., assistant superintendent of the Sunday-school, stake tithing clerk and an energetic and promising young man. He is a shareholder in the Mammoth Canal company. Was married in the Salt Lake Temple, September 18, 1895, to Sarah Jane, daughter of Samuel and Isabella Aiken of Spring City.
